Ben was cooked and out of gas. These guys are first rounders, have had success and are still improving. At least LJ has advanced past the first round. We haven't done that since the middle ages.

At least those teams are contenders and at some point have a chance to win it all. We have a QB older than JEH and a HC stuck in the Dark Ages.

For all the credit Colbert got and now Khan gets for acquiring talent, they have royally sucked at evaluating and acquiring QBs. And don't even get me started on the absolute dumpster fire that has existed for almost 2 decades on the inept coaching staff who can't develop players, let alone QBs. FMTI - Fire Mike Tomlin Immediately.

Thats exactly my point but you’re criticizing them :lolol:

We see the awful trend, they are trying to make lemonade out of lemons. We all knew this how the QB situation would look until they find the next franchise guy and they don’t fall out of trees. It’s a long painful process that only the Packers seem to have mastered.

And perhaps that is where you can criticize them, for not addressing it while Ben was still here although I guess you can say they tried with Rudolph but not a very good attempt there.

I know. It's freaking hilarious to me.
It's as funny as two teams that didn't even make the playoffs arguing about who is better.
The ..... they have had success is a freaking joke. They have done exactly what we have done, make the playoffs, and lost before making the SB. Wow!!!!! Such success out of two, so called MVPs. LoL.
Hell we've done that with a old Ben, a Mason Rudolph, a Kenny Pickett, a Old Wilson, and a Fields.

Honestly, pretty much any team that makes the playoffs has a chance to win it all. We've won with an above average QB (on a rookie deal) and a great roster. Other teams have won with an above average roster and a great QB (Rams are a recent good example). Teams that have finished the regular season with 9 wins have won it all. I get the frustration with Tomin (I share much of it) and his postseason woes, but the team is good enough to win it all if they make the playoffs (there are a few exceptions, but the vast majority).

I agree with you here. Rodgers was taken while Favre was there, Love while Rodgers was there, LJ while Flacco was there (and on a playoff team)... I know Andrew Luck was selected coming off of Manning's injury, but they took Luck while Manning was still on the roster and then subsequently released him (only to see him play 4 really nice years in Denver and win the SB).

You take the QB if you think he's the guy. Who cares if you have an old franchise QB. Father time comes for everyone, and the franchise has to make the calls that are right for the longevity of the team.

Very rare every playoffs team have a realistic chance to win the super bowl, especially now with 14 playoffs teams...We all knew before the 2021 playoffs, the steelers had no chance with a washed Ben in a Matt Canada offense and the worst run defense in the NFL.

Upset can happen sometimes but very rare we see 2-3 major upset in the same year by the same team....The 2007 Giants are the exception with 3 playoffs win as 7 points underdog or more,2 of those was on the road, the other against a 18-0 team

Only 2 teams make the super bowl each year but 14 who make the playoffs now,so no way 12 teams are in the same tier:roflmao:

And yes, teams who are out in the playoffs can be much worse that other non playoffs team, like it was hard to have a worse season that the 2023 panthers(2-15) without a first round pick in the next draft lol!

Would a first round qb have started over ben? We needed a safety at that time.

I said a long time ago that Colbert and Tomlin picking wasn't very good and you argued that wasn't true. Now here we are.
