Outside of the 13 td, and two ints in about 2 whole starts(is 2-0 in them) and appearance in about 12 other games......he's done about as much worth as anyone that has only played that little amount.
I don't know anyone who has done anything of worth in 2 whole starts, but apparently you seem to.

Wouldn't peg you as a guy that sees a player for a couple games and thinks, "these meh stats warrant a first round pick".

That’s not what I got from what he stated. He’s saying we don’t know enough about him as a player yet, good or bad to draw any conclusions.

Ramsey will play corner for as long as he's needed, but will transition to full time safety when its no longer an option. He is a smart, quality player that is multi-role versatile. So we can take as much CB play from him as possible, then shift him to safety (where he's played at a high level in his past) for the remainder of his contract. I don't see a lot of downside in it. It certainly sucks to lose Minkah, but his previous two seasons were either down years or wasted tackling WR's 20 yards downfield due to scheme. Lesser paid players can fill that role nicely, while we get to pick up a quality corner that is slot capable. With JPJ and Slay, we should have a legitimately good CB room this season when healthy.

Nothing, but it doesn't matter. In the limited amount that we have seen him play, he's pretty clearly the top QB prospect in the draft. He's got the size, arm, processing ability, and comes from a family that produces nothing but NFL studs. He's basically Andrew Luck athletically and cerebrally, but born into the Manning family. I am all for "prove it" (and I am certain that he will this year in Texas), but there isn't another prospect in the class that has the ceiling that Manning does (Allar is close IMO, but Drew carries a massive amount more risk/bust potential). Klubnik and Nussmeier are quality prospects, but each have a couple knocks (both of which have size concerns). Sellers is another Hurts-type dual threat option that could land anywhere on the NFL projection meter. Beck has to regain his status as a prospect, and Leavitt is another smaller guy with marginal rushing ability that will have a lot to prove with his arm this year. Is Iamaleava even worth mentioning currently among the top guys? Lots going on there....

Manning's preseason projection as the top QB in the class is deserved. Now he just has to prove it on the field.

We can't draw any conclusions based on his limited play but NFL QB's are graded on their arm, size, athletic ability, processing ability, and character. He is going to be considered an elite prospect in every single one of these categories. He doesn't have to out-stat anyone else to prove that he is better. He is going to grade massively high as a prospect, and he comes from a family of NFL stud QB's... He'd have to have a pretty poor season to not be considered the best QB prospect in the draft IMO (and I think the likelihood that happens is very small).

Everything you said is true but I just don't think he is turning pro until 2027. He is due to make around 30 million if he goes back his senior year and he will get nowhere near that as an NFL rookie.

True, but going to the NFL in 2026 still gets him between 40-50 million over his first 4 years, while also getting him one year closer to his second contract payday. With 11 current NFL QB's making more than 50 million a year (and guys like Tua, Goff, Purdy, Love, Lawrence, and even Dak to a degree being non-elite options), it is safe to assume that NFL QB salaries during his contract period are going to be bonkers.

If he is the top QB prospect, there is no reason to go back for some NIL money. If he's a good, but not elite prospect... then yeah, go back for the money and try to get yourself atop the QB prospect list for 2027.

You can’t look at it vs a rookie contract you have to look at the year at the end he will loose at that’s worth more than $30M

If you don't think Arch will eventually be a first round pick, then I don't know what to tell you .

Except most people don't expect Manning to be in the 2026 class, his family will likely want him to return to Texas in 2026.

I'm not that guy, I'm also not a guy that will doubt, or be against a player for a few games. I'm the guy that says let it play out, and we shall see what's what.

Plus let's not forget the Mannings are notorious for playing, and getting what they can in college before jumping into the NFL. They all preach it. I believe both Eli, and Peyton played over 40 games in college.

Very true! Our D is a lot better than Miami. He won’t be responsible for nearly as much as he was in Miami.
