if you look just at the starters, they have many old players, among the most in the NFL.Not just in average since this is true the number will be higher because of Rodgers but just look at the number at 30 years old or older, the steelers have many of those players right now and they rely big time on them

Only the o-line that they are young overall

    That's not true at all.
Only Rodgers, and Seumalu are over 30. Woods if he becomes a starter. That's 3 starters over 30 on offense.
Only Cam, TJ, Ramsey, and Slay on defense. That's 4.

    7 total. You're wrong.

That's if Woods becomes a starter. Which is not yet. It's really 2 on offense and 3 on defense right now. Until we get to TC and see how things shake out at contested positions. TJ could get upset with contract talk and ask for a trade. We don't know what is coming tomorrow. Stop trying to make everything worse than it actually is. Just stop.

I just looked at the Ravens roster. They have 8 projected starters over 30.

The Browns could have as many as 10.

The Bengals have 6 if they get Hendrickson back.

George Allen's "Over the Hill Gang" with Billy Kilmer at QB. Kilmer threw the wobbliest passes in the NFL but his receivers said they were easy to catch because you grab either end of the ball, lol

Since we’re clearly going all in for right now, I view that as a positive.

i agree and mentioned something in another post about surrounding TJ with players like most teams do for a franchise QB. maybe this is the last hurrah before we go all in on the next version of the steelers.

I am not sure this team can compete with Buffalo,KC and Baltimore right now...Rodgers will need to turn back the clock a bit...I don't talk to play at his mvp year but at least at a pro bowl level QB

The Bills and ravens beat us by 14 points in the last 2 years in the playoffs(and down 21-0 in each of those games),so this is a mountain to climb against those teams for the steelers too

It doesn't mean those teams are going to be as good this year, this isn't the same Steelers team they beat lots of turnover on the team.

I will believe that when I will see that.

Of course, like I said if Rodgers can turn back the clock a bit(as a pro bowl caliber QB)it will change thing. When Allen and Lamar are healthy, they have been a contender in the last 5 years at least, maybe they will never win the AFC or the SB,I don't know but they will be in the hunt,so I don't expect it will change this year for them

TJ turned 30 last October. I think he'll turn 40 this coming October.

I would feel a lot better about this Steeler team if A Rogers was 8 years younger, Ramsey 5 years younger, TJ 5 years younger, Heyward 5 years younger, Darius Slay 5 years younger, Robert Woods 6 years younger.

Lots of talk about this team not being able to compete with the KC, Buffalo and Baltimore. If a younger Rodgers or Ben was the QB, would we still feel the same? I only ask because I personally think on paper this team is shaping up. Nice mix of vets and youth. I'm excited about their potential and don't think they are that far off from the 3 teams mentioned.

Granted QB is a big sticking point, but that is a deficiency that they are likely to have for a couple years or more at least. Not easy to find a Pat, Joe or Lamar.

I would feel much better with a younger Ben or Rodgers but I would still not sure about our defense against top elite offense if they can compete against that.

If Rodgers play at a pro bowl level QB(not MVP but just pro bowl) and our defense can compete against those offense, maybe they will have a chance.Of course,it will be out of the window if our offensive line can't block!
