Sports media have already labeled this recent trade as a sign they are all in to win the Superbowl this year, no concern that it has been almost a decade without a playoff win( sounds like we are talking about the Pirates)
Also was stated after trade that not only Mcdaniels was on a hot seat but if Steelers don’t win a playoff game this year, that Mikey should be sent packing

Arguing with someone with an Arkansas education. To be expected :lolol:

You have 0 meaningful stats. Here’s the stat that matters: 3 playoff wins in 14 years….

Mikey should have been sent packing years ago but AR is apparently more worried about his afternoon nap.

I wasn't born in Arkansas, and I went to schools all over the US.

I haven’t seen a playoff drought this long from the Steelers in all my 60 yrs of existence.
LFG, you don’t want to use the draft to build a team anymore. We are raiding nursing homes instead.
    Putting players together like

this doesn’t win anything. Look at college basketball, court full of 5 stars, only play one season together and go to NBA with no championship
Looks good on paper, but folks you need more than one season together for your players to gel
Start all over in the qb room again in 26! Do we not see a cycle here? All in hopes of throwing blind darts to win a Superbowl

D to the Double G… you are 100% correct… somehow it will still be Bens fault or Canadas fault or Colberts or… you get the picture

Kind of hard to do when there are defenders in your face as soon as you drop back .

The playoff drought sucks but as I get older I don't stress out over it everyday like some people, say if they had beaten the Browns in the 2020 playoffs then lose the next week does that really change anything?

The defense has a hole at starting FS, Thornhill was bad last season with the Browns. I think they will sign a free agent to help at FS.

Sort of, but they have a weakness at the most important position; Qb. Rodgers is 42 years old. Thats a serious durability issue. If he cant last thats really not on the coaches, (have to admit as much as I’m not a Tomlin fan).

Mahomes still been in the super bowl in the last 2 years and won 1 despite a weak offensive line or a very weak receiver core in 2023.....Brady had big struggle against the ravens in the playoffs when Ray Lewis and Ed Reed were still with the ravens(QB rataing of 62 in 2012,57 in 2011 and 49 in 2009).Same in the first super bowl vs giants in 2007 when the offensive line could not block....He was human too

Right, but how many times have we seen Brady just getting no time to throw in those big games? Typically his defense stepped up and kept them in it or the other team helped out by doing dumb crap. (Atlanta)

Difference is when Brady was with the Patriots they were super adaptable. That Bill didn't care if you shut the passing game down he'd find one play and run it over and over till you stopped it then hit you with what you just left open stopping it. That and Brady's line was pretty solid for him. Chiefs aren't built like that, no team is built like that now.

It's my biggest problem with bringing in Smith as the OC. What did he do with Bijan the year he had him? Nothing, he put all the carries into the other RB! Next year new coaches and he flourishes!

And this is a major difference to have a weak offensive line vs a offensive line who is destroyed by the other defense in every snap

In the super bowl between the chiefs and bucs,Mahomes had 29 pressures vs 4 for Brady!...It was crazy

No problem to think Brady is number 1 ever but Mahomes was also able to overcome a lot of thing with the chiefs since in the last 2 years, the chiefs were not that good but still been in the super bowl twice and winning once

I'd like to see a better balance and definitely better results for the $180M they spend on the defense. Next closest team in D spend is Giants at $151M. The amount of investment in the D has not paid off.

Has it paid off for the Giants?

My point being.... it's never the cost. You could divide the salary cap right down the middle and have mixed results all across the league. Right now the offense has more on rookie contracts than the defense.

People continue to miss the point.

Brady was able to overcome quite a bit; specific teams or not. Overcoming chaos and thriving in it was arguably Bradys greatest strength. Mahomet hasn't shown that nearly as much. Moreover to the point though is that the gap between Kansas City and the top AFC Powerhouses are a lot closer than others are willing to give it credit for.

Mahomes is still the best QB in the sport. No one is questioning that. What will be the question is for how much longer will he be the undisputed number one.

Mahomes overcome a lot in his career...sometimes,this is poor defense or poor receiver or poor o-line...He has not overcome as much that Brady for now but this is normal since he has been a starter for only 7 seasons right now vs 20 for Brady...Mahomes still has times

I agree that the gap between powerhouses in the afc are very close, but it was always the case in the Mahomes era....KC has never been too good for the afc outside of maybe 2019 and 2020

I rank Allen #1. He is the most dangerous. If you can stop him, you can beat the Bills.
In Mahomes, he is very, very good but not the athlete Allen is. If can stop Mahomes, you stand a chance to beat the Chiefs, but they do have other gears.
As true Passers, Mahomes is the best. Allen is known to have slumps...
Under pressure, I see Allen bettering Mahomes, Allen can run like a Fullback and is not slow.

So maybe there is a slight edge to Mahomes.. he does have that sandlot skill.
I wouldn't cry about having either on my team.

And one more week I would have been happy. Don’t know about anyone else but as a fan I enjoy playoff wins. That shouldn’t be a radical thought!
