One of those team have been in the super bowl in 5 of the last 6 years and been in the afc title game every year since 2018 and beat us 42-37,36-10,42-21 and 29-10(in 2024)

The other team did not win a single playoff game since that time

    The rest is just noise

Not sure what you are trying to justify.
    Excel stats can tell anything.
If your put your eyes on the actual games, the Chief did not have to score 60, they probably could have.

The Chiefs probably did have a tougher year than usual.
They still reign as the best AFC team... and beat the Steelers 29-10 "in 2024"
So no, those stats don't tell much of anything other than maybe a drop off but yet still, Defenses were playing them to not allow the homeruns and forcing them to play downs.
They still figured it out to the tune of 15 wins (stomping on our Steelers yet again) and a Super Bowl appearance.

Now being a copy cat league, Defenses will try to do as Philly did.
That division is also getting tougher, so we will see how KC does.
And as I said, until we find a QB that give us the type of play Big Ben, Allen, Mahomes, etc... do for their teams.

you are funny. that is when Tomlin could ONLY rely on Ben and a HOF DC.

    Tomlin is not elite

    you will never admit it.

Tomlin did not 'own' Reid, BTW. won more, but did not 'own' him. Tomlin owned very little, he SCRAPED by....that is all he did

Steelers had one of the oldest defenses in the league last season and has followed it up by getting multiple guys over 30. The average age of the most probable 12 players on defense is 27.9 and by the end of the season it'll be above 28, which is roughly 2 years older than the average lineup across league. Guys like Yaya, Sawyer and Trice aren't starters, but hopefully are quality depth pieces.

Gave Reid the killer B's era,the steelers would have mutiples season with 500 points in a season and likely mutiples super bowl berth and Reid would not keep a garbage DC like Butler for very long....

@strummerfan@strummerfan was so classless with me several week ago when I said that it was not a rebuilding that what Khan has done since his first full offseason in 2023

You can't be in a rebuilding situation when you sign so many old players!

Well now... how long is it going to take the secodary to gel... Minkah was the leader!!!????

A lot of new faces.... too many perhaps?

Man, I'm going to be honest... I don't know about this year... DK Metcalf and Ramsey are decent guys off the field, but if things don't go their way in the locker room and on the field things could get really squirrely. I swear to god Tomlin loves bringing in these powder keg guys. They burn bright, but also have the propensity to explode. How many times has he caught the blowback now?

Except were talking about older skilled players coming into a defensive scheme that is not overly complicated

I am more concerned about a younger unit than one comprised of vets. Mason McCormick, Zach Frazier and Troy Fautanu are all essentially still very young pups; doubly so for Troy's case. Broderick and Isaac are the most experienced; Isaac's experience being the most invaluable.

Given how Broderick's snap totals in the NFL as a Right Tackle now surpass those snap totals as a Left Tackle in College, it is very fair to question if this is the year Broderick can put it all together. For that matter, he'd better.

Talk about a gamble; Pittsburgh is pushing a huge number of chips to the middle of the table for Broderick to finally break out. If it doesn't happen, that is gonna mess up the 2026 Draft in a major way.

This is how I know You hate, and don't use your brain.
Tomlin owned Andy Reid before Mahomes....You say well because of Ben.
Andy Reid owns Tomlin since Mahomes, but I can't say because of Mahomes. A little double standard there???
He didn't get fired in Philly because He was a freaking genius...it was because He went 5-11, 6- 10, 4-12, No SB wins. Yeah sounds genius to me
Then Magically Mahomes and No losing season since.
For any that actually watched him in Philly, and when He 1st came to KC....he was considered a great play caller, a terrible HC, a guy who called timeouts a terrible times, and a choker. For you people that only watched him since Mahomes....Yeah now He's a genius.
    Oh , and I guess 5-2 isn't owning someone.

No but he was still one of the best head coach in the league....And he is one of the big reason why Mahomes and Spagnolo are in Kansas City

You are the same who don't see the difference between Jeff Fisher and Sean McVay because your ego is way too big

Gave Andy Reid the killer B's and it would been almost as good that the greatest show on turf

I never said that.... somehow when someone doesn't agree with You , you appear to half a$$ read what they wrote, and then just take what the f**k ever from what they wrote. I never said I didn't see the difference, I said don't blame everything on Fisher, and that when the Rams won it wasn't with either of the players You kept bringing up. Learn to read, and ......
Stop talking out your a$$, but I guess with your thought process it's the same No matter which end you choose. LoL :roflmao::lolol::roflmao::roflmao::shrug:

Andy Reid was 53-27 in the first 5 seasons with KC before the Mahomes era....remember the chiefs were a very poor 2-14 in 2012.Yeah focus only the 3 bad season that Reid had in Philly and one of them was in his first season and the other in 2005 when their roster was depleted by injuries like crazy

    Yes or No .
Did Mike Tomlin own Reid before Mahomes??
Yes , or No before Mahomes in KCs did Reid just do what we are doing now....going to the playoffs, and losing???
Yes , or No before Mahomes, the only time Tomlin, and Reid met in the playoffs, Tomlin won???
You don't even have to answer....we all know the answer.

For the first question....it was like only 7 games and the steelers had a much better team....It can change very quick like the Lamar Jackson vs steelers

2.It was bad but the chiefs at that time it was not the steelers had between 2007-2011 when they had a super bowl champions core

3.True but it was by only 2 points,it was a coin toss game at the end

This is also true the chiefs had a better record that the steelers in 3 of the first 5 years of Reid in KC despite the steelers were loaded on offense and the chiefs were a 2-14 team before Reid took this job.

    That he did.

However, does anyone ever remember Brady getting beat down quite like Mahomes last loss?! Even with the lesser Offensive Lines Brady had during his time in New England, I don't ever remember him cracking under intense pressure like Mahomes did. While this doesn't seem like it belongs in this discussion; never underestimate a QBs ability thrive under intense levels of chaos.

Brady always was able to do so. Mahomes?! Different story. All the more reason I believe that 2025 is going to be a lot different for not just Mahomes but also the AFC as a whole.
