12 and 13 packages could be really good. That OLine needs to do its job.

Maybe they're not there yet but it feels like they're a better team than what they were the last few years.

I saw 8.5 at first and it may have gone up getting Rodgers. I went to Hard Rock Casino and placed my bet in April it it was 8.5. I sure the hell would have added to money to bet if I could have got 7.5.

For some reason I think the Houston Texans are going to be good. For fun I put 50 smackers on them to win the SB.

Alot of people are saying Minkah has taken a step back. I happen to think it was the way they utilized him the last few years. At any rate the defensive scheme has clearly limited the FS position to basically being the last line of defense and a safety valve in single high with the FS playing 20 yards deep and essentially out of most plays thus eliminating them from making much of an impact on the game other than being out there to prevent big plays deep and over the top. With that being said why pay a guy in that position alot of money? You can get players with less talents and alot cheaper to play that position if you are going to utilize it that way. The Nickel Cb has become alot more important in our defensive scheme right now so bringing Ramsey in was a smart move. Juan Thornhill isn’t Minkah but he is fast and should at minimum be able to play 20 yards back in a prevent role which isn what they had Minkah doing.

Minkah never had GREAT speed. Now he is slow. he is very smart but slow and does not want to hit.

his best years are gone and he was over paid.

I loved him......but he is going downhill fast. He sucked last year.

What is still being lost in translation in all of today's news is one critical aspect; the young Offensive Line. How long will they take to gel?! Might wanna hit the ground running if the schedule doesn't favor them well.

    Yes let's look at that.
Now look at Reid vs Tomlin before Mahomes. Tomlin owned Reid before Mahomes .

If they were rebuilding, they wouldn't be spending big money on these veterans.

Harmon, Highsmith, Benton, Wilson, JPJ, Herbig, Elliott, Thornhill all under 30

Watt, Ramsey, Slay above 30 or above

Cmon now...we talking about a two year switch with Minkah who has been mid at best lately unless you in the "he does all the things you can't see" company.

I personally like the rebuild they are doing without doing a tank rebuild if you will. They have sacrificed nothing for next season to this point.

Heyward is 36 and Thornhill turns 30 mid-season. That's 5 of 11 starters at or above 30 by the middle of October.

You should face palm yourself for trying to start this dumb argument , all those veterans they added and paid good money. But according to you they're rebuilding .

I didn't put Heyward on that list. Also just threw some names out there. Left off Queen, Yaya, Sawyer, Trice.
I'm just not sure what your expectation is? All under 30? Heyward was great last year so why dismiss the vets?

Just don't agree with your assessment of an aging defense getting older.

It would be very funny if some think that the steelers are still in a rebuilding since in the Khan era, what he did was just to sign old players
