I think his struggles stemmed from him getting hurt and worrying about losing out of the chance to start again. He was playing gimpy too much last season. What I wouldn't give to have a RB like Bettis again. Maybe in a few years that kid (Fangupo) out of Hawaii!

I thought his struggles stemmed from him not being very good.

EDIT: I don't have any malice toward Redman, but geez what did you expect from a guy from Bowie St.? They'll probably name the stadium after him.

Sorry to those that love the guy but he is going to have to MAKE a fan out of me. If he does I will be the first to admit it!

Him and Dwyer two peas in a pod, Will have to draft our starting rb from this draft
or fa route. These two will never be superstars but very servicable if they hold onto the ball,
if they don't they become expendable.

THe Steelers need all the help they can get at RB. Rooney said a year or so ago we have to run the ball more, they have tried that without much success but here they still are sticking with the same backs with Redman, Dwyer and Batch. I don't get it, they haven't done anything in freeagency to help correct that and here they are depending on the draft, hope that works out but it is a gamble and a waste of a franchise QB with such a weak offence.

Last year around this time I asked, "but what about our run game?"

Now here we are, and still, Redman???

last year at this time we were loaded or thought so. mendy was injured but rehabbing. batch who had shown promise was close to being ready after injury. we had redman that had shown alot of promise. dwyer who had shown alot of promise. clay who had shown some promise. we drafted rainey as speed at the position. we actually looked like we had to many.

fast forward: rainey and mendy got themselves canned. dwyer and redman and batch didn't live up to expectations. clay got hurt and cut. our GM says we didn't run well last year because of who we had as players, yet we bring 3 of them back. that's the puzzling aspect of this. i guess we give them another shot behind a different line. they haven't made the team yet.

Rooney never said he wants us to run the ball more, he said more effectively. Big difference.

I'm happy! I dropped some cash for an authentic redman jersey last year. I still have faith in him.
