Why can't we get top WR's like this?

Afraid not. If we go back to the beginning of this all I made a statement to everyone, and didn't quote, or say anyone's names, and You responded to that. Anyways believe what you want, but I have thousands of examples throughout the history of the NFL. Not all ,but the majority of Wrs are made by their Qbs, again not all, but most.

Yeah I remember when a couple of games when Landry Jones had to step in when Ben was out. AB would wave his arms, stomp around and take a fit because Jones couldn't get the ball to him.

Brown made Roethlisberger better. That also counters your argument that it is the quarterbacks making the receivers.

The quarterbacks who are great without elite receivers are outliers, too. Brady is the best example of that. He is an outlier in just about everything.

In that one post, I responded because you quoted me. At the start of the discussion, I responded because I was interested in the topic.

By all means, present these thousands of examples. When you are done with the hyperbole, then we can have a real discussion of evidence.

Basically STD's argument is that a great QB will elevate the WRs. The other side suggests WRs elevate the QB. The answer lies somewhere in the middle.

I remember a number of times Hines Ward was led high into a safety by Kordell. The dude would get smacked. I would be amazed he caught the thing as he'd come up smiling. Ward was one player i watched develop into a great from a nobody. That's why he's one of my favorite players.

So did Ben make Ward? No. Did Ward like Ben not leading him into safeties? I'm pretty sure he'd tell you yes.

As for Ben and Brown, those two were like butter and bread when they were locked in. They were great players individually but they had a special connection when together.

Basically the result is the same. The Steelers need a QB lol

    Yes, they absolutely do.

I don't think anybody is saying that it is only receivers that elevate quarterbacks. I also think the answer is in the middle, that they each elevate the other. I don't think STD gives good receivers nearly enough credit.

Roethlisberger and Brown elevated one another. This notion that Brown couldn't play without Roethlisberger is ludicrous. His production didn't drop off after leaving Pittsburgh simply because he no longer had Roethlisberger. It dropped off because he was in his 30s and he lost his damn mind. It's not like he went to a bad quarterback. He had Tom Brady, who put up huge numbers those two seasons.

Loved that show, I have them all. Have not watched the very last movie with Adrian Paul because I heard it is just so awful. One day I’ll get around to torturing myself with that one. Think it went straight to video.

Daltry also played a vile colonel in a 2-parter of "Sliders". And he had a noticeable bit part in the horror movie "The Legacy" (1978).

I liked the Highlander series for what it was: a syndicated (lower budget) action series. Not up to the 1st movie, but leagues ahead of the abominable sequel.
For musicians, it did have Sheena Easton in one episode.
The drawback for the series is that almost all of the villains (especially the one-offs) looked like wimps next to Adrian Paul. The only bad guy who was intense enough to seem like a credible threat (and was in more than one ep.) was Roland Gift, who was the lead singer of the Fine Young Cannibals.

    Yeah, that's the one.
Another one of those atmospheric spooky movies from the 70s. I only really remember the scene where the woman swimming in the pool is trapped under the water's surface by something supernatural. (And the "hey, that is the singer from The Who" moment.)

Funny because I put off watching the series for so long because I felt it wouldnt live up to the movie and of course it didnt center around Connor either. Turned out I liked the series way better than the movie and thought Duncan was a much better character than Connor.

I forgot Sheena Easton. Xavier St. Cloud (Gift's character) wasn't the only formidable villain. Kronos was a decent one. Kalas was probably the best villain in the series. He was the one who killed Fitzcairn.

I recently rewatched much of the series. Some of it is still fun. Some doesn't hold up at all.

Duncan was more complex, but I think that was a function of having an entire series to develop his character. The biggest problem with the series is that the tone was all over the place. They would go from attempts at serious drama to pure slapstick, sometimes within the same episode. Also, the final season was a complete **** show.

Agree. I remember how AB completely disappeared in the games Vick started when he played a few games when Ben was unavailable.

Every WR would struggle with this version of Michael Vick so this is not a good example....AB was very productive in the 3-4 games with Landry Jones despite 0 TD

While on the team , I believe AB never caught a td without Ben. For a Wr that averaged double digit TDs a year in his career at Pittsburgh, that is saying a lot about what the difference of a Qb is for a Wr, even a Wr as good as AB was.
He played with Leftwich, Dixon, Vick, Gradkowski, Jones, just to name a few.

In the names that you named, only Vick and Jones has been a starter during the 2013 to 2018 when AB was at his peak.Jones was not a top 60 QB in this league but AB was still very good with him despite no TD.Vick was way worse that Jones....Both of those QB was out of the league when they were done with the steelers.AB would still been good with a jouneyman like Ryan Fitzpatrick type QB...TD is not the whole story...AB had 15 TD in 2018 who is a career high for him but it was his worst season with us from 2013 to 2018

So after all You typed, what I said was still true. AB as good as He was, and He averaged double digit TDs in his career with us, never caught a Td with anyone on this team except Ben, and He played with , Batch, Leftwich, Jones, Vick, and others.
I really don't understand why You typed all that, since it didn't change the facts of what I already said.
Moving goal post doesn't change facts.
