I need to see if the Steelers add a good WR and Rodgers, before I would feel confident about them going over 8.5 wins.

Fair enough, but people always talk about the Steelers bad record in Chicago and Philadelphia .

In the Tomlin era several teams have ended a long drought for years without a win in Pittsburgh like the Jets, Chargers (regular season) Colts, Chiefs, etc... so it's possible that the Packers are the next

Why don't you mention losing the AFCCG at home as a double digit favorite to the Chargers ?

Anyway, my point is I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers are winless against the NFC North.

If JJ McCarthy struggles Minnesota doesn't have a good veteran QB behind him.

The biggest criticism of Cowher is the AFC title game he lost, even though three of his teams went on to win the Super Bowl afterward (the Broncos, it was their first back-to-back Super Bowl, and the Pats, who won twice in Pittsburgh in four seasons, have won three Super Bowls in that span). The biggest criticism of Tomlin is that he's been like Marvin Lewis since 2017 in the playoffs, and in our last six playoff games, the Steelers were down by at least 21 points in each of his games.

The loss to the Chargers was awful, but the Steelers were still in the AFC title game. I remember Tomlin losing to an 8-8 team with a fullback at the QB position in the wild-card round. Cowher has never lost in the playoffs to a team with less than 11 wins.

And I don't know why you're comparing the 11-5 Chargers in 1994 to the 2-10 Cardinals in 2023....especially 4 days later the Steelers lost to another 2-10 team at home:facepalm:...With Cowher, the Steelers would have won both games by at least 3 scores!

Who gives a crap about a regular season loss? The Steelers gave up two special teams TDs in that loss to the Patriots IIRC, the players were telling the media about their Super Bowl plans to the media before the game .

still impressive they make the AFC title game with one of the worst special teams unit in the NFL and with a questionnable QB...The over and under was at 7.5 wins before that year and they finish at 13 wins.

Still a great year.If the steelers make the AFC title game this year,I will be happy like crazy!

You mean the same plans all 4 teams that were playing in the conference championship games were required to make
