Fair argument. I've thought about some of this myself since they acquired Metcalf.

The silver linings I've come up with:

1. IF the o-line plays at least average as a unit, it will be better than what the Jets had last year and enough to give Metcalf/Pickens time to get upfield and separate.
2. If they get #1, defenses can't afford to stack the box as often.
3. I expect good things from Wilson - jitterbug with plus route-running ability.
4. Last year the Jets primarily had Wilson and Hall, and a half-season of Adams. But the o-line limited Hall and Rodgers, and the WRs behind Wilson battled injury and consistency issues.

A lot is going to ride on the o-line's performance, whoever lines up behind center.

Incorrect. Maybe he wants 4-year window guaranteed money, but he does not want to play for the next four years, he does not want the process or the journey that it takes to win the superbowl.
Then again, Tomlin does not want to go through the journey either, he is looking for a quick fix.

 

Talking here with some folks, at this point, it's Howard's job to lose, champion, great attitude, could be next great late round QB. Captain Jack, Harmon & Black are big guys, looking good and Johnson Rod is back, are new RB. Throw in DK, damn!

Speaking of Aaron Rogers....
It's probably getting close to decision time.
Rookie camp is nearing.

I know Aaron has been throwing and that doesn't sound like retirement.
The only holdup I can think of is if he is of the idea that maybe a Matthew Stafford goes down with an injury or Brock Purdy holds out,,, he can be a more competitive team.

 

I hope he decides to retire. He obviously wants everything his way as the ego maniac he is and here we are on page 59 of sucking up to this clown.

 

If dickhead does sign with us I expect this thread will reach 100 pages.

Have to be honest. Yes, I despise the mother F but if he gives his best effort and there is not a lot of butting heads with Mike, I think we will have a decent season. And maybe the Ahole will have the decency to help Howard learn the ropes which can only be a positive thing for the Steelers.

 

I have mixed feelings about Rogers...I don't want to see my Steelers suck so I hope he signs, but I can't stand the guys so it will be hard to cheer for...but if we do suck, we get a better pick next year.

As I said...mixed feelings. I just wish the "decision" would be soon because I am really tired of seeing it.
