Yeah its called a smokescreen. Of course Khan is going to say that. Even if they are considering trading him they aren’t going to speak negatively about him. They want to create a market value for him.

Teams take chances on worse knuckleheads than Pickens all the time, if they wanted to trade him during the draft I'm sure they would've found a trade partner.

 

There is already 'cancer' in every locker room. The saying that 'production determines how much crazy a team will allow' comes from that very fact. I don't believe the Steelers care about GP's off field antics as much as fans think they do. If he's not getting arrested or some type of trouble like that, I don't think the team cares much at all. On the field is the only concern. The issues that have been discussed by fans on here about GP are the team issues.


If Pickens continues to be a player that doesn't block downfield or takes the play off if he knows he's not the target, then the Steelers will let him go or let him seek trade offers. His production even with the bad stuff has been enough for another team to sign him from FA or even trade for him.


I also believe that even with bringing in DK, Pickens is the future if he wants it. I think he really is that good.

 

Exactly. I believe Pickens is more talented than Metcalf and has a higher ceiling if he can put it all together.
