If Rodgers isn't here by OTAs, then sign Carson Wentz and carry on. You need to begin implementing the offense of the #1 QB at that time, and waiting until camp just sets this offense back.

Why not just go with Mason then

Wentz hasn’t done anything in 4 years

Kaboly thinks it will be by OTAs.

If he doesnt sign I think they just roll with Rudolph and see how Howard looks, maybe he steps in halfway through the season just to see what hes got unless Rudolph is playing good ball.

I would rather just go with Will Howard and see what you have in him. You certainly aren't winning anything with Mason Rudolph or Skylar Thompson.

we need 4 Qb’s on the roster going into camp. Another vet, besides Mason, would help.

I think AR is going to sign. Rooney is sure of it. Thats good enough for me. How successful we are with a 41 year old AR at the helm who knows? Lightning could strike i guess.

I think Mason would be the QB anyway. But they want to go to camp with 4 QBs so I suggested Wentz as someone to bring in and compete with Mason.

I'd rather have kirk cousins and I'll bet Atlanta would eat most of his salary.

Rodgers doesn't want to play and even if he did, the Steelers wouldn't be a contender with a 41 year old QB....The best scenario in the long run for the steelers is to have a bad season, record wise to have an opportunity to have a true franchise QB and to be able to keep our 2027 first round pick but unfortunately, I believe the Steelers are too good for a 5-12 season but their ceiling is way too low...Their ceiling is at 10 wins and a playoff spot wasted as always with or without Rodgers

I think they are absolutely contenders with Rodgers. Will he be enough to get them past the top teams in the playoffs, who knows but he is no slouch and he’ll be a year removed from an achilles injury and in better position to have a good year.

If it was Rodgers in his prime, possible but this version of Rodgers who will be 41 and his last good season by him was in 2021...Unlikely.Only one QB was still good at 41 or older in NFL history and it was Brady

That's the only thing I have hope about.....that another year removed from the injury.

He still had it before rupturing his tendon, thats why I think he could still be good now that he is a year removed from that injury. The first season back from an achilles injury is always a wasted year.

Rodgers is weird but I’ll bet a yuan he went above and beyond to heal the tendon

I don't. First off our primary WRs are deep threat guys with very little intermediate routes in their trees. Rodgers would desperately need Roman Wilson to step up and be that guy especially as a chain mover. Secondly, Jets had far better offensive tools around Rodgers and still managed to have an awful offense. Rodgers at 41 isn't Rodgers at 35. Frankly the best QB to get Pickens and DK the ball on a regular basis is actually Mason, despite Rodgers being a better QB.
