The tomlin lame duck years are pretty predictable. We have some elite players who overcome inadequate coaching. Team will win enough to barely make playoffs and then get crushed by 20 points plus in playoff game. The big difference in last years ending was the team QUIT. Nothing can justify it and the Rooneys should have cleaned house after it.

I'll need to confer with jeh, but we may have just had our first official Tomlin thread of the 2025 season.

The Penguins won 2 Stanley Cups but felt it necessary to remove the winningest coach they’ve ever had. They did this while knowing that he would be unemployed less than 1 week. The Rooneys should have done the same. The Pirates should do more to be at least competitive once again. Pittsburgh used to be the City of Champions. It would be great to get back to that.

Bobby Bonilla? I think his Mets contract runs out in 2035 so he will be looking for his next gig. Heck, Rudolph would probably still be his back up QB.

The issue is that the owners are happy milking the cash cow and not really caring about winning SBs.

this generation of Roonies are too far removed from the ones that had SBs ambitions.

it would be better if some billionaire just bought the team with a chip on his shoulder to win SBs.

Gonna give him and his vets a shot at a playoff run before its all over, hence bringing on AR

thats the way i see it anyway

(they tried with Russ last year and failed) to me it just seems like a pattern

He’s been to the show twice and walked away with a trophy in one of them. So while I think he has his warts, I think he also can do it again.

One good thing about Rodgers is they aren’t going to try and rein him in. Would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation if they tried.

Not to be a dick(can I use that word), but if people actually believe we will not be going anywhere because of the coach, and what's going on......why oh why don't they make themselves rich, and make the bets when they just know for freaking sure we are going to lose. It always seems like people want to believe that for their sanity, you think bad , that way your not let down, but if they truly believe it, they wouldn't watch, and would make those big bets when they ....."Just Knew this would happen "

Which doesnt work because the people who complain the most are the loudest after each loss.

Exactly .. Fans pissin and moaning is not going to do and for those that are always predicting losses just STFU and use your god given talents on better things like predicting the powerball numbers. Nobody knows who is going to do what in any given year. Yes sometimes we all get frustrated but saying this or that on a constant basis never makes us win more games.

Just saw this and since we don’t need yet another Tomlin thread I figured this was a good spot for it. Pretty cool perspective from a guy who played for both.

I will say I like his description of Cowher better.

Is this one your posts where you expect a response, or one of your stupid posts? All your posts look stupid to me, so I figure I'd ask.
