I doubt that anyone will value Pickens highly enough for us to use him as compensation for a move into the top 10. Also, I think it’s highly unlikely that Sanders goes ahead of Pick #21. If anyone trades up to get ahead of us for a QB, I believe they’ll do it to take Dart. Sanders’ ceiling is way too low for someone to take him over much stronger talent at other positions. Of course, dumber decisions have been made on draft day…

    pickens, that is. not you.

he is a TEAM CANCER. he was stoned, or drunk or BOTH upon his return last DEC vs. CINCY when the TEAM desperately needed him.

he plays when it DOES NOT MATTER. He coughed up the ball vs. BUFF in the first half at a critical time in the playoffs.

    he is a CLOWN

Get what you can for him - NOW!

The thing is, what you can get for him now is probably not more than what a comp pick would be, a 3rd rd at best. So why not keep him and see if he matures and if he doesnt, maybe he has such a good season you might be able to at least pry a 2nd round pick from someone.

they have to weigh all that.

i think Khan is pretty bright. he is a wheel and dealer.

If they get Dallas or some stupid team to bite with a big offer, I would move him. he is just a mess, IMO.

It would only be a half-season, but do you mean at the trade deadline? Because he's a free agent at the end of the year.

I would only trade him if they would get better than a 3rd, or if there was someone they felt they had to have (on top of their existing pick) in this year's 3rd. I suppose they could try and use him as capital to move up in the 1st, but aside from an outlier scenario I don't see this as a good year to do that.

Trade him. He is going to be a problem.

Draft Higgins in the 2nd or Tet if he gets to 21.

You are still holding the line that George Pickens will be a Steelers in 2025, or are you ready to accept reality?

Right now I would say there is a 10% Chance George sees the field for Pittsburgh this season.

Keep those #14 jerseys though, as you can just swap the name on the back from Pickens to Metcalf. :)

That is when #14 was not available.

Metcalf is still using #14 on all his social media accounts. #14 is the number he has used his entire life, why change it now if he doesn't have to?

Pickens wants the big bucks, so he will put on the good teammate act and not take plays off as much for this season.

I hope Pickens does his best for us this year. I doubt he can be happy here afterwards and will moves on.

He has to be thinking about playing for a contender with an elite QB who will make him look great.

Beyond the Rodgers saga (which might be already decided), there is TJ and GP the rest of this off season. Unless there is a terrific snag TJ deal likely gets done, the GP thing will be interesting to watch. Will they make a compelling offer that he accepts, will he sit out a while asking for a deal or trade, or will he play is butt off hoping for an even greater payday next off season.
