Crazy part; there were complaints during the Steelers camp that Rudolph wasn't getting enough snaps with Pickett and Trubisky taking most of them. How many camp snaps are the Browns gonna give the 4th or 5th QB?!? Somebody be holding a clipboard all summer.

 

Yeah pretty dumb not to try and 4th round pick on Shedeur when most 4th round picks at not the most important position are out of the league in 3 years.

I'll also mention there is only 1 QB worth even considered to be worth a damn in the QB room.

For the Browns possibly. They have Watson, Flacco, Pickett, and now Sanders.

The Steelers really only have 1 QB worth anything.

Not picking Sanders in the 4th was straight up dumb.

That’s been my question all along about Arch. If he was so good, why didn’t he beat out Ewers, btw not drafted yet, for starting qb position?

 

It's possible. Its why sitting here and hoping for Arch is risky. No guarantee he comes out.

We now have a 7 round pick we didn’t have before. They think there’s still some value out there or they wouldn’t have done it. BPA list has many options and we’re picking two players here in minutes with an additional one in the 7th. Not bad

 

My first read hearing this was, of course he ends up in our division. So this either becomes an affirmation of what we thought of him or a constant reminder we f'd up. Time will tell. I wasn't a fan of the baggage he would bring with prime constantly 2nd guessing the the OC or the HC if things didn't go well. The last thing our team needs is more drama, then again we might be bringing that in with AR anyway.

 

Three QB's available

Howard - Could end up being a Cousins level player IMO. I like the upside. Downside is Jake Locker or Mason Rudolph.
McCord - Feels like his upside is Garnder Minshew. You're hoping for Baker, but I don't think he's quite that. Could maybe be a starter eventually, but I think he's a back up.
Ewers - Tommy Maddox is my comp. Good in phase, garbage outside of it. Maybe Sam Howell is the comp? Feels like a safe bet to be a career back up.
