I like the Harmon pick for that reason. Build inside out. The Steelers might move on to Milroe or Howard in the 3rd or 4th. They have the physical intangibles but are both projects.

After thinking on it overnight, I don't want them to sell the farm to get back into the second, unless they are certain. Keep drafting BPA, hopefully one is a development QB for the roster. I think they need to draft one every year until they find a QB.

Sanders isn't falling to the third round just as Pickett wouldn't have fallen to the third round. At least now we can agree that trading up into the top 3 to get him would have been sheer lunacy, right?

 

I don't see some great need to get back in the second round, certainly not for Sanders. If they thought he could be their guy, he should have been their pick in the first round. They don't, which is part of why Harmon is a Steeler.

 

He wanted to play on the West Coast.

 

That wouldn't get them back into the second round they don't have those comp picks yet so they can't trade them.

Just saying I’m not too worried about qb. Do I think Mason with lead us to the Super Bowl? Absolutely not, but neither will any of the qb’s in this class imo. Use this year to fill remaining holes/depth along the lines and then worry about a franchise quarterback.

I really kind of get the feeling Kahn is jettisoning all of colbert’s last picks. He’s rebuilding the team to his vision and removing what doesn’t fit

 

At least the steelers have learn from their mistake in 2022 to not take a low ceilling QB in the first round....

That says a lot that if Milroe would have returned to Alabama his receivers said that they would transfer.

 

Would like to see Steelers get the best RB available in the 3rd.

 

I'm not sure how trustworthy that source is, but I'm glad the Steelers didn't reach for him. I wanted Harmon. I'm sure I could have been talked into being hopeful about Sanders or Dart if they had taken one of them, but I still think Harmon was the best option.

 

You could get a good RB probably in the 5th round in this draft, I would go DL again in the 3rd or they might go for a QB.

 

Right now its lying season so I would not believe anything anyone is saying.

Sanders made a mistake by skipping all of the post season activities. Dart played in his bowl game where he threw 5 TDs, he went to the Senior Bowl and finished things off with a great combine. The result was Dart being a first round draft pick and Sanders still sitting around waiting to be drafted.
