if it's a weak draft for QB, why would you waste a 1st round pick on one when down the draft you could get one with roughly the same production? sanders is not head and shoulders above the rest. this is kenny pickett thinking.

That is a huge leap to suggest that Sanders has a mental game on a par with Brady or Montana. The problem with Brady is everyone uses him to justify propping up late-round prospects or guys with limited physical talent because he overcame those things, but Brady is an outlier. Finding one like him is the longest of long shots.

Yeah hes definitely developed bad habits from being under constant pressure. Arth will have to correct those.

 No one can say that with any certainty. That won’t be known until a little bit down the road.

People think Howard would be a waste of a draft pick, I’ll be excited if they land him, think he has all the skills needed.

Never said he would be as good as either, just used them as examples as the importance of being able to process and that both of them weren’t lauded for physical attributes.

I prefer to have Trubisky as QB for the entire 2025 season and wait for the 2026 draft that have a QB in this draft in the first round!

Would you prefer the comp of a Purdy? Not exactly physically gifted but knows where to put the ball,... accurately.

An NFL assistant coach on Shedeur Sanders:

"The worst formal interview l've ever been in in
my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary
sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible
body language. He blames teammates, but the
biggest thing is, he'= S not that good,

Interview is one thing, you can prep for that to come off in a good light. I'd be more curious on what some teammates, present and past, and some coaches, college and even high school, said about him, his leadership, his attitude and other intangibles. Does he help others or call out others (in a bad way)? Does he arrive late or leave early often enough to be a concern?

The whole "Primetime" as father thing, it could be good, it could be bad. Was he raised to be confident or a superiority complex? Is he coachable? Does his father make too much noise (think Lavar Ball or whatever his name was)?

If most of the boxes are checked in a positive light, then a little arrogance is permissable and maybe even what the Steelers need.

All that said, I am not convinced he's anything special either. Certainly the skills seem to say he's one of the top 2 in a below average (but not close to the worst) QB class, so if he falls to 21, I don't know why you wouldn't take him, unless, again, interview or character check came out quite negative.

I'd be fine with Dart or Milroe. I am not very high on Howard, but I wouldn't be upset if they drafted a DL or DB in round 1 and got Howard in round 4 (he's not worth their 3rd). If QBs go too early, take one down the list in round 5 or 6. Might get...lucky.

Does anyone in their right mind want to be dealing with the kid himself and his father? - It's just a recipe for endless drama. There are good reasons he is falling like a stone nevermind the potential character and drama issues.

    PASS.

Don't be surprised if we draft Sanders that When Tomlin leaves in 2- 3 years Roonie hires Daddy Sanders as Hc;)

This is such an overblown narrative, Any GM that passes on Shedeur because of Dieon should lose his job.

Besides, if there is any coach that wouldn’t get dragged by Deion it would be Tomlin.

Deoin is an ego-maniac, he'll always act in his own best interests at all times and will not care who suffers, and just imagine the shenanigans when Shaduer struggles, you think he's keeping his mouth shut as to why? What about when it's contract time?

You think Deion is keeping out of that?

    :lolol:

I don’t suppose the fact Trubisky is on the Bills roster fits into this

Passing on Sanders because of his own attitude & drama, his father is irrelevant... U cannot deny the drama that would accompany him though...
