I would even do it if they gave us a 4th, but giving us a 2nd would be more worth even paying a fourth of that ridicules contract they gave hum.

Why should he void that? They have to pay him or cut him, they cut him and he can sign with anyone for a minimum price and they are still on the hook. His pride may say I want to play, but stick it to the fools that offered that contract.

A post like this is exactly what is wrong

The first sentence uses the word “could” which makes everything after it potentially bull****

Why? Rodger’s has no mobility and is an instant cancer when things don’t go his way.

Yeah, I recall that. I've got some family in Marietta.

Didn't you use to work for them with film/photos? Years ago my uncle's had a neighbor who was in charge of filming the Colts. On home games he would help him carry the equipment all the way up to the crow's nest of the stadium and get free admission to the game and a press pass.

I got to go along a couple of times as a kid when my folks were in the area. Used to like watching the game from that level. Those stairs were a workout, but you got access to the pressbox catering room, which had some pretty good chow and you could also bump into the occasional Berman or Theisman. Got Eric Dickerson's autograph before a game there once, too.

Reminds me of the old play of walking up to a girl in a a bar and telling her I'd heard the rumor she wanted me to buy her a drink. When she gave me a confused/dubious look, I reply, "well, I'm the one who started it."

That actually had a much higher success rate than I would've given it. It must have worked once or twice.

Wonder who’s putting this out there, Cousins camp or the Falcons. Both benefit from a trade.

Im only interested in him if hes released.

I used to know that group at the Athletic... I still have a good friend going strong there.
I don't know what to make of this rumor.

Cleveland really can't do much but they would be one to make such a move if they can find some wiggle room.
Pittsburgh, saying 'No' doesn't make them a strong front office. In this case, I don't see them doing anything special to earn their pay. I see it more of a status quo thing.
Cousins, supposedly he said he doesn't want to be in a situation with a young gun on deck.... I don't know how he thinks that. He's 36 soon to be 37.... He does say he's 100% for the first time in a couple years.

I'd prefer not to trade any picks.
If I trade a pick, it's a flyer to have look at Howell.
I'd save all my ammo for next year.

Same. But I'm interested to see if anybody steps up and tries dealing for him. Their current asking price may drive some away.

Agree 100% Cousins was blind sided by Atlanta taking a QB in the 1st round last year. There is no way he is going to give up a single dollar so Atlanta can trade him.

BTW. Kirk Cousins has a no-trade clause in his contract with the Atlanta Falcons, which he can use to prevent a trade to any team. This clause gives Cousins control over whether or not he is traded.

Make Atlanta pay by forcing them to cut him, and then he can go to any team he wants. Right now my money would be on the Saints, just so he can play Atlanta twice this year.

It depends on what he costs. Rodgers was better than Cousins last year. He might cost less.

It honestly doesn't even matter the salary cost. Either guy would be on a one or two year deal. This team isn't tied down by a franchise QB contract, so the Steelers can easily afford either guy for 1-2 years and not have to really sacrifice losing out on players because of it. I don't see us as a true contender with either guy, as we have too many holes.. so I definitely don't want them sending away draft picks for Cousins. The Steelers would be delusional to waste picks on a stopgap QB who realistically won't take us anywhere. Cousins couldn't lead some of his former really solid teams anywhere, and that was in his prime.

I like this version of you. And what i hate is one person means to give their opinion, and these other donkeys start saying it as if its a legit rumor.

Cousins looked more washed than Rodgers last season, I think he led the league in turnovers without playing the whole season.

Once upon a time DK to the Steelers was also a rumor.

If we wait to comment on only verified facts this place will be pretty barren.

TTF will come on the board looking like this

I don't want Cousins and I also don't want Rodgers .The jets were 5-12 or 2 less win that the 2022 and 2023 Jets with a draft bust as QB in Zach Wilson.Rodgers is washed and too much drama

The asking price SHOULD drive some owners away. With this crazy QB contract era though some team might look at as a bargain that might be worth taking a chance on.
