Matt Hasselbeck released

    The Titans have released Hasselbeck and I've always thought he would make a GREAT backup here. I really wish we'd give him a call. What do you guys think? Can he be had for what we can afford? I think we witnessed this year that he can still get it done.

    USA Today reports the Colts are already in discussions with free agent Matt Hasselbeck to make him their backup quarterback.
    Mike Garafolo says the two sides "could soon agree" to a deal. Hasselbeck, 38 in September, isn't interested in finding a team where he can compete for a starting job, but a place where he has a shot to get back to the playoffs. Mar 18 - 6:41 PM

    I think we need a younger backup QB, not an older one.

    Well the timing of that sucked, just signed Gradkowski but then again, he'd probably command a salary like Matt Moore just got. He'd definitely be a good backup though.
