We lost those games because of turnovers. It’s really freaking simple and there’s 100 years of statistics to back it up. You lose the turnover battle you lose the game. Teams that are -2 in turnover differential lose 70-80% of the time. We definitely have some areas that need to be addressed. Some are immediate needs while others are 2-3 years down the line. Another draft or two and the Steelers go from a tier 2 team to a tier 1 team. We’ve been going through a rebuilding process without completely tanking. That’s both a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing because 2 and 3 win seasons are ****ing brutal and a curse because a rebuild takes longer.

Steelers have done well the last two years in the draft. We drafted starters into the 5th round on both. But that took two years. we need a QB badly

We need a qb and at least one more cb as immediate needs. We need a guard, defensive line, another tight end, another rb as future needs

Only a guard on the OL? Steelers need LT and RT badly. Moore struggles against the better defenses.... Browns, Eagles, Ravens and Chiefs. Jones is a bust.

he does not understand, no matter how much you try to explain.

LEADERSHIP is as much the problem as anything - POOR COACHING and teaching hold us back year in and year out.

ALL TEAMS have player deficiencies - great LEADERS find a way. (and yes, a Franchise QB covers a multitude of deficiencies....)

all of that said, we will ALWAYS need another player to 2. ALL TOMLIN TEAMS are a brick or 2 short, they always will be, to deflect any blame from him......

Hate to break it to you, but you’re wrong. I’m sorry, but even the very best struggle against the best. It does happen. I’m betting you were calling cam a bust too.

Right. It was leadership and coaching that caused Wilson to throw an interception in the endzone. It was leadership and coaching that caused muth to fumble on the 25. It was leadership and coaching that caused the pick 6. It was leadership and coaching that caused Wilson to fumble on the 2 yd line. Said no one with more than 1/2 a working brain cell

Did I say it didn’t matter? Or did I just point out the shear stupidity of your comment yet once again?

Yeesterday's results have pretty much put that possibility out of reach.

No. We win against the Bengals and Baltimore loses to the Browns and the division winner.

Like I said that possibility is 'pretty much' out of reach. I don't see Baltimore losing at home to the Clowns with the division on the line.

Really... if it was as simple as this there wouldn't be finger pointing in post game interviews. I'd take injuries as a more viable factor in losses. The Steelers lost these games because they aren't good enough to compete with contenders in this league and as a result of being outclassed, they committed turnovers forcing plays that aren't there. Same net results when our pressure of the edges forces opposing QBs to throw interceptions.

We really need to stock up on day 2 and 3 picks. That's where they'll be able to find the depth that's needed to overcome the injuries.

It’s the yearly Tomlin meltdown and Strummer working OT to defend his Messiah. Nothing new here everyone else gets blame except for literally the one constant piece.

What’s sad is I remember the Steelers when they had a real coach and played with pride and passion. When they were expected to contend for super bowls not never have a losing season and get blown out in the first round of the playoffs but I guess people like you are happy with the standard that’s been set these days.

Imagine if the Steelers had gone 7-9 in 2013, instead of 8–8. How would the media’s treatment of Tomlin be different? People’s opinion of Tomlin? (What would people mock?)

What's it all boil down to?

Really, who made the decision to go out a get Fields and Wilson? They didn't really address the QB situation, just kicked the can down the road.
Certainly, they see that to be a Super Bowl contender, you need a QB that can rise to the occasion.
I'm fairly certain, 'somebody' is of the belief that Wilson can keep the ship sailing while 'they' retrain Fields.

Another issue is this rumor and innuendo.
Who is this 'person not doing his job' and why is that aired? That's an internal thing.

It all gets amplified with each loss, 3 losses have the volume around 9, especially with a Playoff on the line.
Suck it up buttercup and take it out on the Bengals.

Steelers have a tough decision to make on Wilson. If he wants a 3 year contract for say 30 MM a year I think it would be a huge mistake. Then again if we don’t resign him we basically have no QB and Watt and Cams careers are close to over.
