I don’t care about their ranking. They can NEVER make a big play in a big game when needed.

so third quarter of this game, they allowed Philly to go right down the field. I get it. Bad call on the FG. But what about leading up to that. They don’t get off the field.

Third down they play like prevent and allow teams to just march down the field. It’s so tiring.

people are gonna say I’m crazy. I just watch this **** every week. It works against Cleveland, etc. When has this ever worked against KC or Buffalo, etc?

The offense lost this game. Slow start, Harris fumble, lost TOP. Defense made enough plays to keep us in the game until they were gassed and injured at the end

Tomlin and Smith lost this game, with their PATTY GAME game plan, to start. Najee, AGAIN, right up the middle , with the first play. That is about 13 our of 14 games.

    it SUCKS.

slow starts week after week after week......

Guys I understand the offense sucked. I’m talking overall. The defense needs to make a play when it matters. Cowboys game for instance.

Defense was on the field way too much today. The best cure for that would’ve been offensive first downs. That said, I often find our secondary very suspect.

so that first drive where they literally drove the ball right down the field wasn’t suspect. Ok nevermind you admit the secondary was trash as usual. Sorry.

Defense wasn't good enough either. Such a bail out to suggest otherwise. Sometimes the offense sucks and the defense has to win it. We've done it for multiple years with KP. We needed a sub 20 point performance out of the defense and we couldn't make it happen. Expectations are higher when you have the highest paid defense in the league.

The defense is fine they get turnovers. Chargers were #1 in points allowed they got blasted by bucs 40 points. Detroit #3 they got blasted 48 points by buffalo.

Steelers need to score and less 3 and outs. That’s all that really matters.

Our DC need to go ASAP.. the middle been killing us all season it's always open. no safety or LB
never in the middle..these guy can't play tight coverage or what...3rd and 6 and you're off the WR. come on..
easy slant for first down..I am so sick of it..i know we have Ravens number but they can't play like that saturday

In the second half of the game the Steelers Defense was on the field for 26 minutes, of a 30 minute half. Now, that is what I called TIRED!

Deshon Elliot, Larry Ogonjobi, Donte Jackson missed all or most of game. playing a team the caliber as the Eagles you need most of your Def. i still believe if Harris doesnt drop the toss the game ends very differently. every year the steelers have one of these games that make people over react only to come out the next week and prove us wrong. Playing the ratbirds next could be a blessing with division on the line. If anyone shows up next week not laying it all on the line they shouldnt be a steeler next year

You are right, the defense fumbled the ball away inside the 30 going in for the game tying score

The lack of offence was where they lost the game IMO. No Pickens, and Najee / Warren combined for under 30 yards. There is no path to victory with those stats

Najee’s Redzone fumble after a good drive in the second half was devastating and essentially closed the door. It must have been absolutely demoralising for the entire team.

The defence didn’t cover themselves in glory but it’s not realistic to put the clamps on a high powered offence like the Eagles. They are probably going to be Super Bowl favourites today

Id be more worried about facing the Ravens and Chiefs over the next 10 days potentially without Watt and Pickens.

I disagree. The defense just flat out stunk and would've fell apart regardless. This team is still levels below the elite teams in this league. 3rd down efficiency on both sides of the ball was the difference. TOP reflected the difference.

Agreed we are a slightly above middle ground team in the league. We seem to have Baltimores number but that ends this weekend if GP and Watt are both out. We are not in the same class as Buffalo KC Detroit Philly GB or probably Minny.

austin leaves large parts of the field unattended at times. a blind OC could see that. there was not a steeler defender within 15 yards of the whole middle of the field on one defensive snap. it looked like a barren wasteland. where did philly throw the ball you ask? well the middle of the field. Duh!

The Cleveland Browns did not give up as many points as did the pseudo Steeler "defense." Baltimore will tie for the division lead next week. PseudoSteeler defense will not stop anything and the offense will punt, fumble, punt, punt, maybe a FG, punt some more.....welcome to the new Pittsburgh Punters.

Getting only three points off of two early turnovers takes the steam out of a defense. That said, I sort of agree with what Madden said after the loss to Cleveland, "Steelers' defense is good until it has to be". We feel like a splash play defense, not a defend every blade of grass defense.

Folks finally waking up to the fact that the CBs are average at best and get torched by good QBs. Also without a true #2 WR this is what you get on offense against good defenses. The Steelers are not Super Bowl contenders yet. Still missing a few pieces to put them over the hump to compete with teams like the Eagles, Bills, Lions and Chiefs.

What do you expect we can't run, can't pass. Can't convert on third and can't get off the field on third. Best thing to do is to burn the game film.

May I add that the other team's players are paid also, something many people forget. Also football is a TEAM sport not one player WINS or LOSES a game.
You need all 53 players on roster to perform to their capabilities to have a championship season. May I add just one more point, supposedly Philly
has the best 53-man roster in football?

Very noticeable. staff will have to go over film and see what happened and hopefully it will be corrected.
