Adams has been activated off of IR and is expected to play tomorrow. No big surprise, but a good addition with Larry O out.

Of course, they aren't. No player should ever approach a game that way. The coaches shouldn't be coaching that way, either, but it is smart to make decisions regarding injured players with that in mind. If this was a playoff game, I'd argue for pushing it with Elliott and even Pickens. Because it is the game they can most afford to lose, it is wise to sit Elliott even if he could have given it a go because it is more important to have him six days later against the Ravens.

That is exactly what I have been writing all along, that they should be playing it safe with injured players. It's not like I posted that they should treat it like a preseason game, though John seemed to take it that way.

Agreed. Good to have him back, especially with the Eagles and Ravens on the schedule the next two games.

Another season ending injury on Friday's practice report. Calvin Anderson done for the year and placed on IR.

When do you start looking at your staff and training programs for all these late week soft tissues injuries? I am assuming someone is in control of players warming up.

yaa its ok to sit players if you have nothing left to play for.But it's not ok when you are fighting for div. or--- 1 spot----in playoffs. This game is acceptable to lose but <is it really>:confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1:

I don't think anyone is talking about sitting healthy players, but playing it conservative with an injured player like Elliott makes sense.

Then again, didn't someone say the Steelers should play this game or the Kansas City game like it was preseason?

We have 8 viable options to throw to even without Pickens.

I’ve tried to be rational with him but it just isn’t possible

So out of respect to the rest of the board I just took your lead and put him on ignore

There was a time long ago when his posts were informative but for whatever reason that has drastically declined

    Go Yinz Stiller’s n’ At

It's for the best. This is the second time I had to put him on ignore. He was reasonable for a bit but then he reverts back to being a know it all and always has to have the last word. Too much of a child for me to bother with anymore.

    Exactly

I just realized the best part is he will read this but the insecurely challenged one can can no longer try to get the “last word” in

    Life is good :drinks:

Watt said he rolled his ankle not sure if he can play next week. With it being a short week I’d say it’s highly unlikely. At least it seems like it’s not season ending by any means. Now have to hope we don’t get the 7 seed because Buffalo will destroy us.

I did the Playoff machine and even if we lose out the worse we will be is the #6 seed. If we can beat the Bengals in game #17 then we will be the 5th seed. This is assuming that the Ravens win out and the Steelers lose their next 2 games.

Can you at least wait until the playoff seedings are set before whining about how we're going to get blown out in the first round ?

I don’t think we will fall to the 7 I was incorrect. San Diego is too far behind with thier loss yesterday. We will play either Houston or Baltimore on the road.
