After 2 huge wins, 5 wins in a row, short week in which Tomlin doesn’t win at on Thursdays… yeah. 18 years with Tomlin we should all know by now. Hope we beat bungles and don’t go on a slide.

Way I am looking at it at this point. Perhaps that Baltimore game may have had more lingering consequences than I thought. That said, this game was still for the taking. No point in crying over spilled milk though.


Hopefully having this mini bye helps but man. Offense cannot keep relying on the moon ball to win games. Have to get more types of Offensive plays in there.

I had to watch this fiasco at a bar because of stupid TNF on Amazon so I didn’t get a good look at every play.

After the huge INT (that should have iced the game) late in the fourth, all we need is one first down, ten frickin yards, and we can’t get it. That’s the game right there. 3rd & 3 and fields throws a 40 yard bomb to Pickens?? We can’t scheme Austin open on a 4-yard option route? Check down to warren? Our only option is the 40-yard bomb to Pickens?

It did look like the Cleveland DB pushed Pickens down, but I didn’t get to rewind it and watch again. I can’t believe we didn’t get ten frickin yards to ice the game there. After that comeback AND the INT that should have sealed it that’s a disappointing loss.

That is really what it came down. Watt didn’t do much of anything. Garrett had 3 sacks, 3 tfl and 3 pressures.

I don’t know why we stray away from the short passing game so quickly to neutralize the rush. There was barely any check down game. The deep pass by Fields on 3-4 made no sense to me. That play really hurt us.

We are losing on the line scrimmage on these 3-1 and 4-1 plays and in the redzone.

 

They got Pickens one-on-one with a corner other than Ward. I have no problem with the decision to throw there. I have a big problem with the execution and the defender getting away with grabbing Pickens' hand as the ball was coming.

 

Need Highsmith back. Watt has been basically invisible with him out. They doubled and tripled him all night

 

I was crediting Heinz for he has been the most consistent among those stating this. I have debated with him fiercely regarding this since 2016; my first year here. Since 2020 though?! I had fully conceded that fight.

Time to put this literal"sh*tstorm" of a game in the rear view mirror. I just wish they hadn't given a game back to the Ravens immediately after gaining it. It just adds more pressure to a pressure filled stretch. One thing for sure, we'll soon know if they are contenders or pretenders.

 

Cincy has a full 2 weeks off coming into the next game.

And the Steelers play 2 more games on short weeks.

I'd say the odds of the Steelers being 9-7 going into week 18 being a 50/50 shot.

 

Yeah, and Wilson decides to start checking down at the worst possible time. He's getting worse by the week. And the D couldn't get a stop when they needed it the most.
