Hi I'm sorry to bother everyone with this but I am surprising my son with Dec 25 th tix. Coming from California. He is a HUGE fan. Pretty much planned on getting tickets in section 226 I believe it was G right under the overhang the price is okay view looks good and then I'm seeing people say go for an upper level ticket just get something in the first few rows. what are all of your opinions I just want him to have the best experience possible on a budget. I would hate to get there and not be able to see the field or players very well.

The tickets will be expensive. If I were in town, I would go down to the stadium on the trolly, wait till game time and try to buy a couple unsold tickets off of a ticket site. I’ve done it many times and never failed to pick up lower bowl seats that went unsold. There is always a chance you won’t get them, but I always did. The seat prices will be jacked way up by the seat holder that live out of state. If they fail to sell them for $800 per seat, they will dump them at game time. Just a thought if you don’t want to drop $1600 on a couple seats.

Look here for seat views by section

    https://seatgeek.com/venues/acrisure-stadium/views/section-226

It may be pretty cold and windy in upper level but if you get along the sideline the view will be better

Steelers side will be in the shade most likely

Visitor side tends to be warmer because of the sun but harder to see because you will be looking into the sun

It’s a lot more expensive but club level seats are great

Not only a good view but the concession and bathroom lines are way shorter and you can get warm at halftime

I used to do something similar for Braves games. Drive to the stadium, wait until the second inning and grab tickets from a scalper for a $1. Literally one dollar. Once the game started they were scrambling for anything they could get

:coolcool:Dress warm. December in Pittsburgh can be brutal. We were 5 rows from the very top of the stadium a few years back and it was ccccccccccoooooooollllllllldddddddd. Coming from California will take some adjusting to. Great gift though.:good:

He is 19. No clue yet. Thanks for all of your help so far!! Yes I plan to be super cold but it will ben100% worth it. So I was leaning wltwards 226 f is like I seat under the over hang. But also 127L 128G 130K. Someone said the players warm.uo right around there infront of tunnel and interact with fans. But I want to make sure he can see also there is the big screen as well is my other thought. I do this a stress and try and make thing perfect when I know he wil be so insanely happy. Any thoughts on those areas? everything mostly jumps up to the 500's on steelers side.again thanks so much.

Of those I would go with 226

If you get down in the 100’s sometimes you will have a lot of people standing in front of you

From 226 you will also have a nice view of the city

Away team uses the tunnel there

Steelers use a tunnel down by 144

    I’ll look for you :smiley1:

I remember "splurging" for a club level seat years ago for $235. I thought I was paying a fortune. Now you can't get an upper level endzone seat for that price. It was awesome though to have no bathroom lines and a nice bar you could sit at and get warm and have a drink.

Dress warm, our Christmas temperatures can be very cold.
Then add steel, concrete and air coming off rivers. It can be damn right brutal.

Historically the high is around 40 degrees

For a home game 2 years ago at the same time it was minus 5

I walked out of private box at Veterans Stadium turned the wrong way and walked right into the governor

He had on an eagles jersey so I looked at him and told him his jersey was ugly

Then I looked at his body guard and I skedaddled

I found 144j and 145d by their tunnel now. Yes or stick with 226 now I'm not sure about those ones but price point is way better than the 200s on the sides.

I hope the NFL never quits having PreSeason Games, as I think it is pretty cool to see all the children at the games being introduced to live NFL action.

I only attend a few games a year, so I have no problem paying crazy prices for club seats. I like having a waitress bringing me everything right to my seat and the private bathrooms are nice.

I was only there once. We were in section 507 about 3 rows from the top. That was in September when the weather was good. I don't think I'd want to be there in December!
