They will have over 73 million in cap space, but they don't want to pay Najee a little less than 7 million in 2025 .

    How about this one?

Henry sucks when he has to play us and the team he is on now sucks more when they play us

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Justin Fields. I can see them signing him to a two-year deal and drafting a QB early anyways. But with some guys being on the last year of their contract like Warren and Najee, I just can't see the cap space being this great come March.

You still need to factor in the 7th Lombardi Trophy being hoisted in February.
Hell, I can see quite a few players with some contract years left retire on the high note.
    Huh?
    Maybe?
    Hell yeah.

They declined his 5th year option, so they didn't want to pay him over 6 million.

Rb’s are a dime a dozen. They are the last piece to the puzzle. Get the oline straightened out and the qb’s and wr’s and you can draft a third round rb and do fine.

Gonna need all of that to resign Moore, sign a WR, and to get a couple of QB's.

Henry is 30 years old and in his ninth year with 2,164 career carries. Thats a hell of a lot of mileage and an age when most backs are on the way out if not already done.

Harris is 26 and only in his fourth season. He has 951 carries. There is likely a lot more tread left on the tires, which is also a factor to consider regarding what a player is worth. The option also provided the advantage of only being a one-year commitment.

Despite the mileage,Henry is still the best RB in the NFL this year and he make only 8 millions per year....Harris is good but he is not Henry who is a future HOF and who could have a second 2000 rushing yards season this year....Henry was still great in the last few years despîte to have a terrible supporting cast on offense in the league with the titans since they trade A.J Brown

You are missing the point. Age and mileage are a big part of a player’s contract value, too.

But when you are still great and this is just a 2 years contract,it matter much less the age

Moore is gone this is his chance to get paid, they drafted two tackles in the first round time for them to figure it out. If Wilson wins in the playoffs they will probably re-sign him to a team friendly deal, they're more likely to draft another WR with Pickens going into the last year of his contract.

Who is comparing Harris to Henry? It has nothing to do with them declining his 5th year option.

7 mil for one year for harris roughly and then the price goes up again the year later. wouldn't it be smarter to ( if the are going to) pay him next year for 2-3 years instead? maybe they get him for 8 mil a year next year for 3 instead of 7 and then 9-10 mil for two more.

My point is that Henry is still the best RB in the NFL and make only 8 millions per year. The option of Harris was at 7 millions, only 1 million less that Henry

Yes Harris has been great in the last 2 games and I hope he continue, but before that it was a struggle for him.The steelers have 10 regular season game left so we need to see how he will perform in those games

Yeah, because teams weren't going to pay big money for a 30 year old RB in free agency.

Oh heck we got not one but two QBs for $4MM

    Apparently that part is cheap
