1st. ...You can always make me laugh with some of the ridiculous things You say....like example: You try to argue that your point is always right.....do people actually argue their point that they don't think is right, and why would they??? Keep them coming....that's highly funny.
2nd. You do know the game is played all over the united state correct, and so there are like millions of guys with the exact, or more experience, and knowledge , and there are only so many spots for what You say, but being so brilliant Yourself....You should realize this. Hell I know 15 guys exactly like me personally, and outside one that is a HS HC....none are in anything football. You do realize that about 81, 000 people play college football every year, and a million HS football every year, but of course you do ....you being brilliant and all. LoL

LoL. How would there not be parameters. This all started because I said that a 30 year old woman that never played football doesn't know more about it than me. Therfore the parameters would be actually playing, and watching longer than she'd been alive.
Now for your question. OL , and playing in the SEC. So not only is he bright, but really good. I would probably have to listen to what he said....because it's possible.

I personally don’t see the reasons for debating this stuff to the extent that it has been. If it actually had any bearing on the Steelers decision making then I could understand. What do you gain here by changing someone’s mind in this situation?

Say your peace and move on.

Someone will come back with the standard “it’s a message board “ as an excuse to justify some really bad behavior.

In other QB change news, Will Levis is listed as questionable so Mason Rudolph might start for Titans against the Bills. So people looking for day game to watch might consider that one.

By your logic, long-time pros should be the best coaches, too, but we know that isn't always true. Bill Belichick never played in the NFL. Neither did Bill Walsh. I don't think Joe Gibbs played past high school. Tomlin only played in college. There is also a very long list of former players who sucked as coaches.

I played high school ball, but I learned far more about the game during my time as a reporter. It's not even close. I know the same is true of many others in that field. I hate to break it to you, but most of the people who have those jobs know a lot more about the game than you do and that includes some of the ones who never got to play at all.

1st. This has all been taken out of context from the original comment by me. I only said women.....because she's a woman. I believe anyone that has real life experience, and has watched the game longer than someone has been alive....probably knows more about the game.
2nd. Some are reading what they want into it all, and some keep moving the goal post.
I never said I knew more than anyone about football, and as I have pointed out 81,000 people play college ball every year, and a million more play HS ball every year......so there are many many many people with more knowledge than I have, but some(not saying You)are just looking for arguments. This all started because I said that I knew more about football than a women (person, again I only said a woman, because that's what she is) that has never played, and that I have watched football for longer than she's been alive.....I've never once said as some are trying to say.....that I know football better than anyone.
That's all I got to say on this subject.

I get that. All I am saying is that you are making a dubious assumption and you don’t really know what goes into getting one of those jobs.

I don't mind the debate so long as it remains compelling. With some topics you just run out of angles/stats/ideas to present, and if the other side still isn't picking up what you're putting down all you can do agree to disagree or else things spiral into repetition and barbed responses that can escalate into straight out personal attacks. There's no reason things need to go there.

*Due to time constraints I've skimmed through several pages here, so I'm not throwing shade at anyone in particular. Just a statement in general.

Yes because they didn’t win the SB yesterday and what I saw isn’t sustainable. I want better than that.

We’ll see what next week brings. If they win again and his passes look better, I’ll feel more positive about his ability to lead the team.

That seems to be your fallback, one you set up last week, that the Steelers have to win the Super Bowl for the move to be the correct one. That simply is not true. So far, it looks like their best opportunity to be successful this season is to play Wilson over Fields. Successful doesn't guarantee a Super Bowl, but it gives them an opportunity to make the playoffs and be a threat when they get there. If you have a chance at that, you take it, because you never know when a fluky run like the 1990 Giants can happen.

Actually my point was they didn’t accomplish anything yet and Wilson has a lot to prove still.

That's not what he said. He said 29th in first half offense. We're averaging 8.1 points in the first half. We're averaging 14.9 points in the second half, around 5th in the league. Last year we averaged 8.4 points in the second half. We're almost a full TD better/game than last year.
Offensively we're ranked 13 in points scored/game. We're ranked 2 in points given up per game. Last year we were 27th in ppg on offense, 5th on D.

    Ok

    How exciting

    27th vs 29th

That was certainly worth the retort

You made the argument last week that they had to win the Super Bowl for switching to Wilson to be worth doing.
