Mike Tomlin press conference Russell Wilson is the likely starter now

I am interested in seeing how much Russel Wilson will be under center, just my opinion
believe there is so much more offense available to the offensive coordinator when a QB is
under center. With our OL being young and injuries taking it's toll Russell Wilson will have
to get rid of ball quickly. With no live game experience, I suspect he will be rusty. Keeping
my fingers crossed.

 

This tells me 2 things. First is that Tomlin's philosophy of play good defense and don't turn the ball over will win most of the games that are played. The second is that Mitch Trubisky was so bad that he couldn't even win under this system.

Apparently Pickens told the media Russ is starting after Tomlin was up there non-committal. Man...Hard Knocks may get an Emmy this year.

It is the right move. The Jets defense is for real and if the Steelers fall behind early it could be over early as the pass rush hits home.

In case anyone cared to check the Steelers offense is 29th in the NFL in first half pts/game. This is a recipe for disaster against the Jets.

The tape shows there were plenty of big plays left on the field the last two games. The Steelers will need those this week.

I admit first that I am probably wrong, but as of 4pm on Friday Tomlin has not officially come out and said that Wilson is starting. All the pundits think




he is. And Tomlin has even said today he has decided but he has not announced it yet. Why all this drama? The more this weirdness continues the more I think Fields will start. I hope I am right!

How difficult it is for a woman to get into any business is not an example of Her knowing more about football than any guy that has actually played it, and has actually watched it for longer than she had been alive. Sorry I don't see how they relate.

 

Ok I'm lying to you. I've never played, I've never been friends with a 2 time SB champion Wr, and I just started watching football 3 years ago....., ....answer this simple question. If a man did play football for 7 years, and has watched football for longer than said woman has been alive, and she actually never played......who would you think knew more about the said subject?????

I don't think this news will come as a surprise to the Jets, the local media has been reporting that Wilson was taking first team reps.

 

To get that far in the business, she had to know more than the guys who were supposedly experts, in part to get past exactly that sort of bias.

 

While you are at work, welding or whatever it is you do, this woman is analyzing sports in general and football in particular because it's in season. She's talking to ex and current players, coaches, general managers, and industry insiders. When you're playing your guitar, she's prepping for a t.v. show or one of the multiple radio programs she is on. She has infinitely more resources than you and undoubtedly puts way more time into studying the game than you do. The fact that you played high school football, and have watched for however many years, does not necessarily make you the preeminent expert on the game. So in closing, I absolutely have no problem believing this woman knows more about football than you.

I'm guessing you've been playing guitar for quite some time but there are 12 year old girls on YouTube who would mop the floor with you. Time invested doesn't always mean squat.

I'll add this, there are plenty of ex players who disagree with starting Wilson. There are ex players who agree with it. There are people who never played the game in media that are on both sides of the argument. I'm not sure why you chose to single out the woman as the one to have a beef with. What if she had agreed with you?

If a plane was going down. Would You want someone who actually has flown planes, and has talked about it for over 30 years, or a woman who has never flown, and has just talked about it for 15 years, or should You just pick her because of the bias. LoL

So You know a lot of 12 year old girls that can play 12 fret intervals??? If not....sorry they aren't wiping anything of mine. I don't know many grown men that can. If I can play what You can, but you can't what I can....I'd see it hard at wiping anything...., but I get it....your not a guitar player.
