When Tomlin was asked by the news media, is your locker room in disarray his reply was, "no [laughs] were 8-8". Either he wants to keep it quiet which I can understand or the news media is doing it's thing or he is out of touch. Something is going on there just listen to some players like Brown on ESPN who seem to be adding fuel to the fire.

So he did what he should have done, not talk about it.

Gee - What a great question. I would have expected a completely different answer though.

Mike, Is your locker room in disarray?
Well of coarse it is. Hines said so.
Wallace wants a $168,000,000 and Antonio is showing him his new bling that he bought with a measly $42 Mil.
They relocated the cafeteria and Hampton can't locate it.
Troy found out that we no longer have 20 lb. weights in the gym.
Ben hasn't slept since the baby was born and his new wife won't let him get a hotel room alone.
    Woodley doesn't like rumors.
Mendenhalls tweeting about joining the Taliban.
Haleys trying to jam a square peg in a round hole.
LeBeau and Heath are singing X-MAS carols in February.
Other than that everything is great.

    Lol.
    Spot on, 86.
If there is a locker room rift, the one place you're not going to hear about it is Tomlin's press conferences.

There is a big difference between a rift and tension or disagreement. Nobody likes everyone. Wallace and Mendenhall and their contract situation was enough to create problems. Add to that Woodley and Troy not really helping the team out, and Harrison being out a bunch and suddenly....problems.

Winning solves a lot of problems. Hence the 8-8 remark

I don't know I just think when Roethlisberger, A. Brown, R. Clark, the media and even x players like Ward have made statements about it and ESPN devoted a lot of time talking about it, I still read and hear about the disarray in the locker room and all Tomlin has to say about it is "no". It deserves more of an explanation from the head man that that or the BS will go on. All teams have lockerroom problems and if all else fails the head coach steps in and settles it but all we get from Tomlin is "no". He could have ended it right then and there with more of an explantation, he sure is not lost for words on other things.

So you want Tomlin to talk more about something he sees as a non-issue or is trying to squash? Makes sense.

Tomlin might want to squash it but the media, his players and x players want to still talk about it big time. Come on it's on national TV, they talk about it at the combine, players talk about it and it will not get squashed until someone in authority ends it with and explanation. The only thing that makes sense to me when an issue keeps coming up it for someone in authority to step in and end it all with an explanation of sime kind, not just a "no". I have been around enough to know these things don't end just because a person answeres a question with a no, the person in authority needs to at least make some kind of explanation to put it at rest.

Sorry, I disagree. No matter what Tomlin says, it is already in the media that the locker room is a mess. Tomlin can try to explain why it isn't until the cows come home and it will never matter.

I'm not a real big fan of Coach Tomlins sideline decision making but this should be a non issue for him to the media. 8-8 Non Playoff season will have any team pointing fingers at each other. If it doesn't then that team should have just as well gone 0-16 to get a number 1 pick. He was in the right to nip it in the bud and keep it in house (even if his players cannot).
Personally, I thought it was a really dumb question from an obvious amateur journalist.

You know how the media is. They try to make a story out of nothing.

:this!: Does anyone really believe that the media will drop it if Tomlin gives a fuller answer? Not a chance.
