I'm not putting that game all on Tomlin, it was an uphill battle after the 1st snap. Didn't help Ben that they had no running game either, and the defense was terrible too. However, they came out unprepared to play, so that part of it was on Tomlin. Seems to be a running theme with Tomlin in post-season.

No to Belicheck. We need a young up and coming coach with some fire and passion.

I don’t think Omar would hire Belichick

I don’t think Belichick would work for Omar

    So no

Plus Tomlin has a contract that will not be terminated

Not Belichek. The league favors high-powered offenses these days. I'd go for a young coach on the offensive side.

Belichek is just a grumpier version of Tomlin who happened to coach the best QB of all time.

Why would he need a security escort? He's just a football coach, not Taylor Swift :lolol:

It was not for his safety

It was to ensure he didn’t take anything with him for example the playbook

Sadly, we had Brian Flores here as a defensive advisor. Now he’s killing it in Minnesota. I hoped we would have kept him as coordinator.

    Hate to say it?!

It needs to happen. Damn that, it also might be time for AR II to step to the side soon. Get Dan Jr in there.

I don’t have much of an issue with the firing part. The team wouldn’t send him a memo in advance to preview his firing.

I think the team should have immediately had a team meeting to discuss and share next steps.

If the team found out casually through other sources, not good leadership. Who needs to know what and when.

Some fundamentally wrong with this. Would I want a hot 23 year old, hell yes! Would I feel I was disgusting her being naked, hell yes.

TBH I am sure that Vrabel would be an option if we were looking in the offseason. But Slowik and Johnson are probably the top offensive guys that come to mind. Johnson has been very selective in which opportunity he takes, so maybe he would want to come here. Slowik is a Shanahan tree coach and got a lot of success with Stroud so he could make a lot of sense. The question is, if we do end up going an offensive guy what does that mean for Smith? I'd assume if Tomlin is gone then we would replace all coordinators (jury still out on Smith, but I think we could part ways with Austin in a heartbeat).

Slowik, new OC, Saleh as a DC? Idk. Plenty of options.

Dont want Belichick. He’s got to many miles on him, hes from the evil empire, he’s used nefarious means to win games. Just not the right fit at all for this franchise. Its like hiring Jerry glanville to be our HC - just wouldn't work.

we need a no nonsense up and coming OC type. Detail oriented. Strong on preparation. Some of the things Tomlin seems to lack.

But then we could call him "Popcorn Jr" I've never seen a coach look more disengaged during games than Saleh on the sidelines.

We are tied with the Vikings in points allowed.....yet we are not even close to the Vikings in points scored. So maybe we shouldn't be worried about the Defense as much as the offense

I'd love him to come here but it will never happen. I do think it would be fun if he took the Jets job.

Don’t think I have ever heard Tomlin talked about like this in the media. This guy may be a member of this board. Then Stink brought up the fact about the coaching tree.

This is what it will take for Rooneys to put the heat on Tomlin. If more and more analysts start talking about Tomlin this way, maybe Rooney finally makes a change.
