Saw this driving home during the last tropical storm. Laughed so hard I had to drive around the block to get a photo.

A coworker and his family had to be evacuated by boat, but absolutely no issues here. Went out for a cup of coffee around 6:45. It was raining, but winds were only 10-20mph at best. Saw one traffic light out. Other than that it was pretty much just a typical rainy day

Live in a mobile home, no escape rooms… go down with the ship or in this case the mobility home

Parts of NC got absolutely hammered. Officials are telling people to evacuate downstream of lake lure as dam failure is imminent.
A friend took the following photo of the Catawba river near mount holly. A large portion of what you see is a parking lot and boat ramp.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! STAY SAFE!!!! Those pictures are scary. I believe lives have been lost.

I've lived in a Hurricane zone for 50 years and only had to evacuate for Sandy some years back. And it went more toward AC and spared us. They say our area is a "bubble" and we get extremely lucky because of it. I have no idea but am super thankful!

I'm coming down and playing Golf with the wind behind me. What I see on TV would add 50 yards for me;)

Prayers for everyone! Bad news another system forming. And it looks like it will take the same exact route. ETA next Saturday.
