    WR’s:
    1. Brandon Aiyuk SF - Requires significant draft capital in a trade and significant salary expenditure.
    2. John Metchie HOU - Minimal trade / low salary
    3. Allen Lazard NYJ - Minimal trade / medium salary
    4. Davante Adams LV - Decent trade / above average salary. (Not a long term answer).
    5. Robert Woods HOU - Probably a cut candidate and can get him for nothing.
    6. Tutu Atwell RAMS - Minimal trade / low salary.
    7. Treylon Burks TEN - Minimal trade / low salary.
    8. Sky Moore KC - Probably a cut candidate / low salary.
    9. Noah Brown HOU - Medium trade / relatively low salary.
    10. Alec Pierce IND - Medium trade / low salary.

My Choice would be the following:
1st - Davante Adams - provided what we give up isn’t significant.
2nd - Noah Brown - I think he would be a good number 2 for us.
3rd - Alec Pierce - Another good number 2 candidate.
4th - Allen Lazard - better than any number 2 we have but injury prone.
5th - John Metchie - Cheap with high upside but unproven.

    * Brandon Aiyuk is too expensive in trade compensation and salary.

    * Wouldn’t mind them taking a flyer on Penning the OT from New Orleans if they can get him cheap. Only problem is we haven’t shown an aptitude to develop OT’s.

    * Not familiar with CB’s out there but we need to look at some.

    What I do know....
Penning has been unable to take that role in New Orleans.
Steelers were very interested in Skyy Moore pre-draft.

    1. Aiyuk - Yes. Kid is super good and would help us a lot. If it is truly a second and third round pick the capital isn't a huge deterrent and the salary is on par with his ability so no issues.
    2. Metchie - Doesn't move the needle for me. Worth a shot if we really hate the back end of our WR roster, but he is nothing more than a WR 4-5 on this roster. We'd have to love his upside and I am not sure we do/should
    3. Lazard - Nah, don't love the player
    4. Adams - Yes. Good player, even if it is the short term. Only for the right price though.
    5. Woods - Pass. Age is the main factor, declining play the other. No thanks.
    6. Atwell - Sure, I'd be fine with this move. He is the same size as Austin, but he's young, fast, and has shown a bit more than Austin has so far. There's at least a shot of upside here.
    7. Burks - Not worth it really. He doesn't bring a lot to the table and he might just not be an NFL level player. Can't see a fit for him on the roster.
    8. Moore - Less of a disappointment than Burks, but still meh. I'd be okay with it simply because he could run out of the slot. Still don't think he's a WR2 or even a guaranteed WR3 on this squad.
    9. Brown - Eh, maybe. Vet, but not a lot of upside. Reliable. This is a meh option, but a fine enough one.
    10. Pierce - Brings something different, more reliable and young. Decent option, really. He's probably the WR3 on the squad with a chance to unseat Jefferson for WR2. I'd be okay with this for a low cost.

Adams or Aiyuk being that they're the two best listed, provided the Steelers don't have to give up the farm for either one

Steelers don't need another WR if they run the 2 quarterback super-flex wildcat formation. Arthur Smith can have an RPOQBOQBO built in. Hand the ball to Harris, he can start running right or left, flip it back to Wilson or Fields, and throw it to Pickens deep.

Good analysis. My thinking with Metchie, Lazard, Brown and Pierce is at least they can play outside. I feel like the majority of our wr corp is more slot type.

I loved Penning coming out. I wanted us to draft him. He has a nasty demeanor. I thought he had huge upside literally and ceiling wise.

Just my 2 cents Woods and Sky Moore. Sky is a local kid
I have not followed Woods don't know his character if he could
    help Pickens or not?

Keep in mind, for how bad Penning has been (benchings, etc.) he is still a more highly rated player than Dan Moore Jr. according to PFF.

Can he play both sides? If so, maybe he is a fine enough option as a swing tackle. Could cut ties with Cook and groom Penning as the next swing tackle after Moore leaves via free agency.

The article I read about using dual QB's pointed out exactly what you did. If we put Fields in in certain situations the defense will most likely think it's going to be a run play. I may not be a big Fields fan but the guy can throw a football. He could wail one downfield to Pickens like you said. Lot of options using this method.

We can call it Slash 2:)
