I wouldnt be against kicking the tires, see if he can earn a spot but the fact is JuJu’s knees have been shot for a while. He got released by a team with one of the worst rosters, that’s not a good sign.

I too also would look at his health, (obviously) something is wrong with him. When healthy he could help this team.

I got the feeling that the only reason he signed with NE was because Bilicheck liked him. Now that it's Mayo's team he didn't have that support from coach. I read an article this morning where they broke it down to Juju having a very bad contract from the teams standpoint and he just couldn't find his game there. So it became moving on from him even with the bad contract and dead money hit was the best option.

And, I am pretty sure JuJu will be here on the same type of Deal as Russ, because New England will be paying most of his salary this year.

I doubt there's any guaranteed money left of Juju's contract /w NE. I'm betting they owe him nothing going forward.

*IF* he is physically able to perform and he has matured, he would be a good addition. He will be cheap. If he can improve the WR room, then that makes it better for us. My biggest problem with him was his antics for tiktok and his lack of common sense on the field. You don't dance on the opposing team's logo! Childish. He did have some talent though and he could block better than most WRs. I remember him laying out a few defenders with prejudice!

Providing that he is not going to show up and create drama, I think he would be worth a 1 year contract for around minimum (1.2 million) or a bit above. With past antics, injuries and a lack of production last year, he certainly does not command top dollar. He has been released from the Patriots, so we don't have to mortgage the house to get him like we would with Aiyuk. I am less concerned about last year's production as NE sucked and that could be why. My biggest worry would be some immaturity from him won't do us any favors with George's immaturity.

On a side note, because I looked up what the league minimums are now......in 2019, a rookie got 495k. They got a 115k raise for 2020 to go to 610k. a 50k raise for 2021 and a 45k raise per year out to 2030. In 2029, the league minimum will be $1,020,000. In 5 years from now, every player earns a 7 digit or higher salary. So, if you ever wondered why ticket prices are insane and why the NFL has a streaming contract with so many services......there you go. Have to make a lot to pay the players and keep the NFL owners rich.....lol

Sounds like JuJu is going to be signing with the Steelers or Chiefs this week.

I hope it is not the Chiefs. Hollywood Brown is down and out for the Chiefs after their preseason game.

His production last season was a far cry from what we saw from him in 2022 with the Chiefs (78 receptions for 933 yards and three touchdowns).

Funny, everyone keeps talking about how injury prone he is, but 78 receptions for 933 yards ain't bad, for the year before last. I would take that in a heart beat for a #3 WR on the Steelers in 2024.

That being said my money right now would be on the Chiefs to resign JuJu.
