Hold onto your wallets people. It’s going to get bumpy trying to afford future NFL games in person with these outrageous contracts. Yea I know TV revenue is huge for these teams but we little people will still be gouged more than ever while attending games.

.. So Pittsburghs quest to trade and extend a WR just got harder than. A multi level move by the Vikings. Never mind the Steelers and Vikings though, now the Cowboys and Bengals have their own contractual issues to contend with.

Question remains... who goin first after Minnesota?! Cincy or Dallas?!

Cincy will give Chase a big contract and Tee Higgins will hold out in camp this season then sign with Dallas next season.

This would be great!!... except for one major issue. Two words.

    Micah. Parsons.

Having a great WR like Dallas does is not an easy feat. However, having a potential HOF EDGE?! Those types of players simply don't grow on trees. They are notoriously difficult to obtain and even more difficult to replace once they are gone.

If anything, I do expect Tee Higgins to sign elsewhere but not in Dallas. Micah will want to be the highest paid non QB in NFL History. Should he have an NFL DPOY Season, I seriously doubt Jerry Jones is going to merely let Micah walk.

It seems like Jerry Jones and Roger Gooddell have been joined at the hip for a while so it is possible for Micah to win NFL DPOY honors even if TJ Watt out performs him by leaps and bounds. Seems to be a pattern with TJ getting shafted nearly every season.

    I doubt it honestly.

If anything, remember that Jerry Jones has a long and storied relationship with Goodell; one seeped in ire and hate. From Ezekiel Elliot's case in 2017 to Jones attempting to block him from a Contract Extension in 2022, Jerry has never been shy about going up against Goodell. Even worse for Goodell is that Jones has a number of supporters among NFL Billionaires that he can use against him... well.. try to anyway. Goodell still got the extension but Jones likely hasn't conceded this conflict. Even if Jerry is gone by 2027, I'd imagine Stephen, his son, feels the same way.

I admit I don’t follow tha saga of the NFL very closely lately but I’m just sick and tired of TJ Watt getting the short end of the DPOY stick.

    I believe we all are.

Dan Campbell's message about the matter didn't help either.

Now, to his credit, he is technically correct; affecting the QB means a lot more than just bringing him down. However, having such an impact play like a sack is something that shouldn't be discounted. Why is his name brought up?! Aidan Hutchinson; someone who will likely win DPOY in due time... possibly even this season should all go well for him. Be that as it may, another reason why I bring this up is that Sam Monson, the Lead Analyst of PFF, has a HOF Vote within the HOF Committee. Yep, you read that right.

An analytics person, in a sport where analytics are as wild and unpredictable as can be, possess a vote.

Make that make sense... because I cannot.

Dallas also has to make a decision on Dak, he's going into the final year of his contract.

I left him out deliberately though not because I don't think Dak won't get paid. It just won't be with Dallas. Mind you when I stated earlier than Minnesota made a Multi Level Move with the Jefferson extension. There was a reason for that. Part of that reason was to place pressure on the likes of Dallas as they are an NFC foe. The other aspect is to supply J.J. McCarthy with a Superstar Number 1 Receiver for the duration of his Rookie Deal; hence why the four years of it is being greatly overlooked in my opinion. How does any of this have to do with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys?!

I'd imagine that, given how Jerry was already burnt on extending Dak once, he isn't likely to do so again.

Jerry's pride and ego won't allow him to go through with such an embarrassment again. This is going to sound silly but don't be surprised if Dallas is a player for a QB in either Free Agency or the Draft next season. Much like Minnesota, they can opt to draft a QB while CeeDee will have that fresh new deal already in place. It is just that, unlike Minnesota, Dallas will have their Superstar Number 1 Receiver already locked up; paving the way for the presumed Rookie QB.

    As the saying goes;

"Imitation is the highest form of flattery."

While Jerry likes to march to his own beat, he is short on time. Getting rid of Dak while going for something new while having both Micah and CeeDee will be both the safe play and the smart investment both short and long term.

    J.J. more than likely.

If Sam Darnold does somehow, someway, win out, I'd doubt it be for long.

This is not much harder...The expectation for the new contract of Jefferson was like 35 millions,so it don't change much since very few are at the level of Jefferson...He is the best WR in the NFL.It could have a impact for Chase and maybe Lamb too but I had predict a 40 millions per year contract for Jefferson few days ago,so it could have been way worse too!

The Cowboys have a lot of work to do with the fact that they will need to sign their top 3 players soon...Prescott could surpass Burrow or could be in a another team new year, Lamb will be close to Jefferson and Parsons will very likely surpass Nick Bosa

It's possible, but it's going to be a challenge and the cowboys will have to be creative with voided years and things like that to make it work!

Good question, but after Miami signed Waddle, there are reports that Tyreek Hill wants to tear up his contract and get more money. maybe it's just media crap, but the pie is only so big.

I know voided years gets thrown around a lot, but I do not think you can realistically pay out those 3 contracts, with the guaranteed money involved and find a way to field a team. You might get away with it for a year or two, but the money still comes due and you still have 50 other players pay.

40 million for a player that may touch the ball 15 times a game?
