Fehoko should make the team if only for his great interviews. He talks about what a great teammate Russell Wilson has been so far, he brags on Austin, and he evven talks about when Patrick Queen got punched in the face by Joe Burrows.
And yes, for all intents and purposes last year was Austin's rookie year. I expect more out of him this year. You put him on one side and Pickens on the other, you're going to force a lot of two high safeties, which opens up the running game and the short passing game for Wilson.

He has to start making plays first for that to happen.

I think Fehoko better worry about himself improving, we need depth and people that can
    make plays on the DL.

It would be nice to see a QB actually be able to get the ball to him.

DJ touched the ball 51 times last year with 5 TD's and 37 1st downs and austin touched it 28 with 2 TD's and 11 1st downs as a #4 receiver.

It did sure seem like our QB's at times did not even look at Austin during passing plays.

I'm hoping Austin III can have a break out season.

Fehoko has been heaping praise on everyone. Will he even make the 53? Or back on the practice squad?

He wasn't a No. 4 receiver all season. He was playing a lot more than that while Johnson was out. For the season, Austin caught 17 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown, a 72-yarder from Pickett. That means his other 16 receptions netted only 108 yards. Almost all of that was during the first five games of the season, including garbage time against the 49ers in the opener. In the four games Johnson missed, Austin caught six passes. That's not going to get it done.

This assumes he was getting open. Cue someone posting the play that Pickett got hurt on against the Cardinals, when he was open, but the line didn't give him time to get that far in his progression.

yeah - a big DUH! He has a QB now to throw him the ball - a deep ball passer unlike one read and roll Kenny the bum, Pickett.

he does not know much, I am not sure he watches the games. Kenny could not see the field.

Austin is probably the #4 receiver, on the field in situational plays. He is not a strong guy, but can fly. Russ will find him

I know you and others keep focusing on that one play, during which he came open well after Pickett had to leave the pocket because the protection wasn't there.

Yeah, the guy who led the league in check-downs the last two seasons should do fine in finding Austin with the short stuff he ran to get most of his receptions last season.

I know more than you, so what does that say about how much you know? :)

It is fun to watch y'all make Pickett the scapegoat for all of the offense's problems. Next think you know, y'all will be saying Matt Canada's failure was his fault, too.

Wasn't assuming he was open, just was watching our QB eyes and seeing that at times they never looked his way. Almost like he was the last option. Agreed a lot times the QB didn't have enough time because Austin was mostly running deep routes. This was especially when Canada was calling the plays.

No I don't. I don't hold one play against a person. There were many other times. If You go back, and watch the all 22 You will see it, and You will see Washington open many times also.

Actually....I argue with him all the time, but He watches, and He knows football pretty well.....He just doesn't like to admit certain things. Can You say...stubborn. LoL
