How does a veteran struggle with this? Not encouraging at all if this is accurate reporting.

Hey, I don't know what this means. ‘All The Play Calls Had To Be Two Words

Was Russell trying to make it shorter or Longer when he called a play?

A Normal Play call by the QB,
Split Right Scat Right 639 F Angle
NFL Play Call Examples (NFL Jargon) - Sports Victor

Is Russell trying to make this call with only Two Words?

Or are they talking about Audibles?
Or, is this a Seattle vs Denver thing?

No, it isn't, but I'm not a big Kinkhabwala fan. She seems to have a knack for finding polarizing topics or angles and little support for the veracity of the story.

I'm inclined to remain more apathetic about it until more would come out.

A very fair approach - I agree with you, the jury is out and time will tell.

In fairness to Russell, I feel like this grew out of a variety of comments from the Broncos. The package of issues actually included a variety of issues, including the right players not being on the field, slow to get the play in, etc.

I could also read that situation as a head coach blaming his QB. This is probably Payton’s last chance.

Ben did it his way regardless of coaching.

The guy did lead his team to two SBs and won one. I don’t care if he calls plays with numbers. Just execute

Saw an interview with Bradshaw years ago. He said a lot of times Swann or one of the other WR's would come back to huddle and say forget the damn plays, I'm just going to go 20 yards and make a hard left. No way the defender can keep up with me.

I don't know this as the only time I ever watched Wilson was against us or his SB's but did he use his legs back in those SB days?? Can't remember if he use to be a running QB in Seattle?? I would imagine he'll be forced to run at times with us but it won't be by design.

I have a hard time believing this report. Don’t think this would be the first time we’ve heard of this.

TB called his own plays so makes sense Swann would say that.

Im calling Bull S*^%(. I’m not a fan of Payton at all. I didn’t like him when he coached in New Orleans either. He has this perpetual smirk on his face. I think he was spoiled from coaching a guy like Bree’s for so long he has developed an expectation for that position. Wilson didn’t meet that expectation so as a result there was friction there.

I'm not buying this BS. Did Wilson just become stupid when he went to the Broncos? Pete Carroll apparently wasn't asked for a comment. Payton himself was dumb enough to put bounties on players in NO, plus pay a player 38 mil to play for another team. I detect a level of stupidity here, but not from our new QB.

I would like more confirmation than just Kinkhabwala as well but something happened more than just butting heads with Payton to eat that kind of money. Maybe this is it, everything she touched on the worst being not grasping the playbook.

    Execution is all that matters

If Duck could call plays with more than two words, RW can execute them.

Freaking Browns fan. ....., and Yes to any who don't believe.....I've heard her say it more than once.....straight out of her mouth. Now I'm not a reporter, but being the Steelers fan I am....if I was doing any reporting on the the Browns, Bengals, and Ravens......I would always sneakily try to sow dissension among them....in any little way I could....., but hey....I'm only human.

I agree, but people seem to forget that it was way worse for R. Wilson before S.P. got there. If He was as bad as He was the year before SP got there He might not even be a starter anywhere. Overall I don't believe this report.
