I highly doubt he was making it far in the fourth, much less to the fifth. On talent and tape, he is a first round pick. I don’t know where you are getting this idea that his skills re not great. That doesn’t seem accurate at all. He fell due to injury concerns, not questions about his ability to play.
I think they wouldn’t bother with an inside linebacker that high if they were sure Holcomb was going to be back.

After going through the injury/will they be back thing a few times, namely Tuitt and DeCastro, I don't blame them covering for worst case with Holcomb.

Wish we could pick up another 4th. Or a 5th
    .

What's your thoughts on Jerry Rice's kid
Think he will be there when we pick in the 4th?

Thanks. Yeah I looked him up. He's given a round 4 value so he could fall to the Steelers

LOL x 2. Less ACL's, less chance to tear em. MAybe we should have all ACLs removed from all players...to reduce injury chances?

Obviously the media and Steeler fans are happy with the draft. I hope it all works out for us.

Pretty sure that I'm the only one that was hoping for a QB. Hope I'm proved dead wrong but I sure the hell don't like Fields and Wilson success will depend on our O-Line being real good.

I said on Payton Wilson thread, but am I nuts to think Payton, with speed, agility and size, could be a SS/LB/Rover type, play off the line, cover TE, blitz, attack the run from deep. His speed can allow him to be a step deeper and avoid or attack some of those OL easier.

I just have thoughts of a poor mans' Polamalu here. No one has/had TP's instincts, but I hope they use Wilson like that.

So, here we are again. We have a relatively quick pick here before a long draught, 119 I believe? Prolly go D here with a Corner or DL, yes?
I think they’re gonna add another receiver post draft and big name.

    Real possibility, post draft

Also, kinda funny the kid they took to replace him just gives me DJ vibes. That would certainly be ironic.

So the Patriots took a qb, then a WR, and now a T and G to protect him.

I think they are more likely to take a cornerback or defensive tackle, anyway.

For those who were annoyed the Steelers didn't take him yesterday, T.J. Tampa is still there.

Branden Rice wouldn't be a bad fit. He brings a little more size than Wilson at 6-foot-2.

I would rather see one of the corners, preferably Cam Hart or Kris Abrams-Draine.

Not really. Troy Franklin is gone but otherwise we're good 7 picks in.
