I like mims power. But I won't forget his injuries. Dude literally took himself out of the championship game and screwed us. And then went on to say he was not 100%, like he used to say after returning from missing 8 games for the season.

Hope the best for him. He's a stud while playing. But injuries are worse than having a even a meh full time player.

I'm just glad I don't work there anymore. It will be crazy weirdly quiet thru training camp.

This is just fluff. They drafted him because he was a top-15 guy on nearly every draft board and a freakish athlete.

I haven't seen a single report on Fautanu questioning his ability to stay a tackle. Maybe he would be better at guard, but he has a position on the Steelers.

I've seen a couple, but they also say that the worst case scenario is that you got yourself a pro bowl guard. I'll take that.

Tomlin alluded to the fact that if he were an inch taller we wouldn't have gotten him.

He's probably right, but Fautanu has long enough arms for the position, so I think he should be able to stay at tackle.

He wasn't my first choice, either, but some of the criticisms of the pick that are pure nonsense.
    • He is not a man without a position and he is not a guard. He is a tackle who might be even better if he moves inside.
    • He was not a poor value. He was a great value at 20.
    • This is not an example of the Steelers locking in on a position and settling for whichever tackle was left. This is a legitimate top-15 player.
I would have rather had Mitchell or Barton, but the Steelers don't seem to put that high of a premium on cornerbacks and Fautanu is a better prospect than Barton.

Moore is on the final year of his deal. I think he's good as gone.

I wouldn't mind seeing Fautanu at LT either. Im just glad we are investing in the oline. Maulers at LT and RT.

I was laughing when it was announced. On NFLN Rappaport came on just before the pick and said he was hearing that it could happen, and I thought “the Failclowns aren’t THAT dumb, are they?” Well…they sure are.

Moore is going to swing tackle because he cant compete with Jones or Fautanu.

I fear that Fautanu will be on the bench for at least half of his rookie season and Moore will stay at LT.....Moore is a Mike Tomlin favorite.....

On the NFL Network this morning one of the commentators stated that he had Penix rated the #7 QB in the draft behind Spencer Rattler at #6.

    I don't see this.

    I guess....we will see

ONLY TOMLIN can screw this up now!

like he did sitting Jones for 6 weeks last year.

Arthur Smith must be really glad he isnt in Atlanta anymore.

Only thing I can think of is since they have gotten Kirk in the building his recovery has them worried.

More likely though, they are just inept.

We'll see. Apparently, Jones didn't beat him out enough to win the LT spot last year and they wanted experience there. We already know he's not starting RT material though.

So I guess if they put Jones at Left and he beats him out, then Moore would be the swing unless the rookie just isn't ready at all at RT. In that situation, you'll have Jones at Right and Moore at Left again with Fautanu coming in as the extra tackle until there's an injury or someone mouths off about the coaching...

I think the key takeaway here is that they had 4 consecutive top 8 picks. We haven't had one in 25 years.

the falcons situation isn't much different than ours. an older qb to teach the young first rounder until he's ready. they just drafted theirs, we traded for ours. we have ours for one year for sure, they have theirs for 5.

I'd rather have what we have then what they have. They've also just created a massive unecessary drama for themselves the minute Cousins throws an interception.
