As far as Connor Williams, even his agent Drew Rosenhause said it is too early for him to even leave the house and start interviewing for this year. Don't count on him for 2024.

There are 4 legitimate Day 1 starting centers in the draft- Jackson-Powers, Barton, Frazier, and Van Pran-Granger. Frazier and Van Pran may fall to early third even though Frazier is looking like early second, but he has been injured and, outside of benching, hasn't been able to work out.

 

Another injured player? They will draft a center in the 1st or 2nd and Nate Herbig can play the position if needed. Khan seems to want someone that will not be a starter coming in knowing a starting center will be drafted. Mitch Morse was brought in and left town without a contract then signed with the Jags for a 2 year deal/ 10.500 mill. He would have been a plug and play. To rich of a contract for Khan. Plus Morse was probably told they would be drafting a center the 1st or 2nd day i'm sure.

 

I'm not interested in Conner Williams, but most of the good free agent centers are already signed, they still need a vet in case the rookie struggles.
