My apologies to STD for the bad dreams this will cause and to Jeh for, well I’m not sure what.

Steelers did offer Edmunds a contract when he left so this wouldn’t surprise me and Minkah does like having him back there with him.

I was hoping the thread was about his brother the 4th team RB.

I would rather have Mike Hilton back once he becomes a Cap Casualty for the Bengals this year.

Cap cost is $7.4 million, but only $1.0 million is Dead Cap. Cinci save $6.4 million if they cut him.

I know you hate him, but to me we were better with minkah and edmunds than minkah and anyone else he’s been paired with. Besides he’s cheap enough he can be released if they happen to draft someone superior.

I don't disagree with you often, but I do here. The only reason it seems like it was better is because of all the injuries at that position last year. That's the only thing I give to him....He's durable, but when You let tackles go, and then tackle 5-7 yards later from behind.....maybe that saves the body. LoL
Also. I don't hate the man....I hate His play.

I would take him back for the vet minimum, release Peterson and Neal while they're at it.

I would take him back on a cap friendly deal. He would be good depth if he doesn’t want too much.

He would need to earn a spot as a starter though.

Take him back in a second. It'll be a cap friendly deal, Minkah works far better when he's not playing SS, and if a better option falls to us in the draft, well, it won't be hard to cut him.

I'd offer him a team friendly contract or 2 year deal. He doesn't have to start.

Yes I'd like an upgrade to the position but i'd rather see a focus on the trenches on both Oline and Dline. I also think CB is a big need to address.

Edmunds was ok while he was here. He allowed Minkah to actually play free safety. Maybe he’s declined since leaving. Anyway the only former Steeler I’d like them to get back would be the grave digger

Atleast Edmunds will tackle, that is of course if he takes the right angle to the ball carrier/receiver which he has a problem with.

Yeah… it’s strange because watching Edmunds on film you see so many flaws, but Minkah does play some great ball with Edmunds on the field.

I wouldn’t hate a vet minimum deal, but I want to truly upgrade the SS position, and Edmunds is just serviceable at best. Neal isn’t anything special either.

i like thompson. i believe he is an upgrade over what edmunds would be. cut neal and peterson. kazee stays, i have no problem with him either as he can play multiple roles. i'd look to the draft or free agency and bring back rowe as the " old guy". edmunds..... not terrible but no. use that money elsewhere. we need corner help.

this position needs looked at/upgraded, can't have Minka playing in box. He is breaking down right
    before our eyes.

He didn’t suck for us but more importantly as has been pointed out, Minkah plays better when Edmunds is back there because it allows him to do what he does best.

So bringing him back at a vet minimum and drafting a safety that also pairs well with Minkah but an obvious upgrade to Edmunds would be a good move IMO.

How would we know that honestly??? I Keep hearing people say that, but since T. Edmunds has been gone.....Minkah Has been hurt, and the guys that came in to take T. Edmunds position has been hurt. Do You guys not remember how many injuries we had there last year???

thank you. the D turned over significantly. CB's and S - Minkah was the only one left, ILB's turned over, etc.

    and then injuries galore!

and then the curse of Kenny and time of possession nightmares

Don't mind Edmunds on a vet minimum salary and backup role, depth at SS.

Steelers need to find a quality, long term starter at SS. Something they haven't had since the mighty Troy.
