Recent Steelers' D playoff futility

We've averaged giving up over 40 PPG the last 5 playoff games. by "Mr. Defense." So much for all that spending on D.

It’s been ugly, no denying that. Being outscored 66-0 in the first quarter the last 5 playoff games is absolutely inexcusable. That tells me that one team came ready to play and another team didn’t. I’ll let you determine which team is which. That is on coaching above everything else!

Just my 2 cents, what I saw in the playoffs and super bowl is that good teams when they get to the playoffs and super bowls they can adjust to any defenses that keep doing the same defense. This is what I think is wrong with our defense, we keep doing the same things over and over again and very
rarely change it up.

Watching the good teams they are constantly changing blitzes and coming from all different direction. We keep hoping that TJ or Highsmith gets to the QB and hardly ever change. To me that's coaching, Spagnola of Kansas City is the best at it and he did with other teams also. Kansas City, San Fran, Baltimore, are the best at it.

 

Yup, you are describing the Tomlin coaching to a "T": Just keep doing the same thing over and over and when it doesn't work blame "execution" because it's never coaching. It's what you get from a simple man with a simple plan.
