When people were making OC suggestions for whatever hot candidates are currently in favor, that was my concern: the Steelers would have to over-pay for a coach who would be gone before the work is done.

Since Smith already had a bite of the apple (3 seasons of HC in Atlanta), if he is happy with the job here, he may decide not to deal with the HC hassle again.
Dick LeBeau stuck around from 2004-2014, after being head coach of the Bengals for 3 seasons. He would have gotten another HC shot somewhere else if he really wanted it.

Greenlaw was injured going back into the game from the sidelines in the second quarter but your point still stands.

Any news on Pat Meyers or the O-Line coach position? His contract should have expired this month. Hired February 15th, 2022.

Is it just weird, odd or just me that the camera was solely right on Greenlaw for about 3-5 seconds right before he went down with the SB game ending injury as he’s running onto the field. I hate to be skeptical about the script talk that there has been lately in the NFL but it just seemed strange that it happened like that. It’s also kind of strange that in the 3 SB victories the KC Chiefs have never once been called for an offensive holding penalty. Feel free to discuss but if you send me a tin foil hat comment then I won’t waste your time any longer.

I don't think this injury gets enough credit for the real reason why Kelce and the Chiefs started to have success after Greenlaw went down.

CBS used 165 cameras to cover what became the most-watched program in U.S. television history.

You couldn’t pee without being on a camera

Everyone would be worn-out by Sunday, and only James Harrison would be able to play.

Dude there are 20 cameras at every NFL game, and way more at the SB, and all games are delayed in feed so they can edit out things, and cut to things.

I would never say it’s a theory but the entertainment industry can persuade some individual(s) to take part by monetary offerings and providing hunches from some viewers. It just seemed very odd to me. Vega$ and the NFL work wonderfully together. Look at the O/U of 47.5 and an OT final of 47 with no extra point permitted. This happens so often it seems more than just coincidental. JMHO. I’m not saying the NFL is fixed but it sure can be strange how things like this take place.

I'm not arguing with You , or trying to interrupt this conversation, but I find it funny when people quote the Vegas lines, and bets when they are correct, but never bring up when they are wrong. We can easily use the Steelers for this. I believe We have been predicted by Vegas to be last in our division for the last 3, or 4 years.....yet haven't been one time. I have also personally won the over on their predictions of our teams win loss record for many years. So I believe You can find as much they get wrong, as they get correct. Also lines move as bets come in.

Yea I get it. Vega$ sets a solid credible betting line on games. I am just amazed sometimes how on point they are. They seem to be getting better with each and every game which sometimes for me brings up suspicions. Take the Titans Vs. Steelers game this year for instance. The Betting line was 3 1/2 and the O/U was 36 1/2 points. Steelers won 20-16. This happens all the time in the NFL. There are either incredible bookies, on point algorithms, AI or some over the top connection to the NFL brass or it just happens to be an incredible coincidence that it happens as often as it does in the NFL. One thing is for certain though is that professional sports and gambling do not belong in the same bed together.

I saw this happen to a Super Bowl once and always wondered what happened. The Vegas Line was like 7 when it opened, and stayed constant for the 2 weeks and closed at 7. The favored team won by 7. Does this mean everyone that bet on the game was a loser? Did Vegas keep everyone's money? I always remember being told that a tie goes to the house.

Keep in mind this was like 20 years ago before all this online gambling where people are allowed to bet all sorts of things on a game.

Vega$ always wins! I was just there for the Steelers game in Oct. The amount of money flowing though that city is over the top. We took a drive out through the desert one day doing some sightseeing. Probably were about an hour and a half from the city and didn’t see a single house for over an hour. Told the wife. “I wonder how many bodies are buried out here?”.
We did very little gambling and even came home with a bit of money but it’s not someplace I would want to spend more than 4 days at.

Generally speaking, a tie in an NFL game results in a voided moneyline bet.

The money goes to the house in that instance, and it's called a push.
