The Highmark Stadium exit from the NYS Thruway, 2 pm today. If you're still wondering why the game was postponed.

So am I understand this correctly. That bills are weak now? They played the colts with more snow? They also had the wind tunnel game and played with worse winds.

Sounds like they just never need to let the bills ever play a post season game in their home town.

By the way, weather Channel showed the compete opposite for Game time than this guy. Only 1.5" of snow came down. Tomorrow it is projected 2" will come down at the same length of time, and almost same winds..... does it need to be moved again?

I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at with regards to my comment. I found both videos comical. That's it, really.

This makes no sense to me either. They’ve had colder games in Buffalo than this , and they’ve cleared feet of snow off the field before. I assume they gave some kind of heating system. So I have my doubts about this “report”

Downtown is not the same as Orchard. I’m sure this is more about safety of getting to and from the game than it is for actually playing the game but I’m not sure how good of a game it would have been with those winds and visibility being impacted so much.

What city are you looking at

This is not at all what Weather Channel is showing

Where did you come up with 1.5” of snow that’s not even remotely correct

And you are way off on the wind

I grew up an hour from Buffalo, weather conditions like this are one of the reasons I left for the CA sunshine.

I wish the Steelers could've played Miami in the Wildcard game, they're soft and dealing with a lot of injuries.

Conditions looked pretty rough in the Buffalo area today.
I’m ready for the game tomorrow.

I'm just saying, the weather Channel said otherwise during the time from 1-4. As well weather apps of the current past radar show that during those 4 hours that 1.5" fell.

    1. They played in 2021 wind tunnel that had 15mph worse.
    2. They played the colts in 2017. The snow bowl that had 16.7" that fell. With 9" during the game. With wind 10 mph worse.

But the thing I am mad about is.....

They announced 5 days before there was a storm coming that was going to have lake effect. Why wait until the absolute last minute?

Well they can't when the governor declares it state emergency. Hence why flights won't resume to normal until 9:30 AM tomorrow.

Several flights are still canceled right now and everything is fine in Buffalo (look at the twitter videos that are saying Buffalo is fine, it's everything 20 minutes south). She really screwed Pittsburgh fans who travel. And we are the #1 most traveled..... I won't be shocked if tomorrow looks like a pre season game of fans in the seats due to people not able to go to the game. Screenshot_20240114_212653_Flightradar24.jpg

15mph winds is common. Even 20-30mph winds. I only know this because I follow it for FF.

There are 65mph gusts in Buffalo today. That ball wasn’t going anywhere in those conditions.

As for why wait, these guys have a hard enough time getting these forecasts right a day before let alone a week out. I’m sure they were hoping it wouldnt be so bad.

The gust were worse back then as well into 45mph fuor 3/4 of the game. Wind tunnel game I think the QB only completed 2 passes. And the goal post were whipping.

And no, it's not hard to be better safe than sorry. Game could have been moved.... the nfl would have played this game.

Furthermore, flights should have not been canceled in Buffalo..... explain that one to me. Because even your twitter videos said it was all fine up there.

Technically it was the travel ban, but I was just being a smart ass there.

I get some of what you're saying, but with the unpredictability of weather patterns (especially if sitting in a lake effect area) I don't think the governor could/should have done differently. A few days before the game they were teetering between one and three feet of possible snowfall. They may not have gotten hit that hard, but you can't flip a coin with that decision. I think they waited as long as they did to give every opportunity for the forecast to change; when it didn't, they made the call.
