A Buffalo playoff game was moved last year due to weather. They played the game in Detroit

Yeah, years ago we would have in service that day, but not anymore. There are other days we work- Veterans Day, Presidents Day- when others have them off. It works well for us at the HS level to have the day off because it's the day between semesters ending and starting. (Presidents day sometimes falls on our Feb. vacation week, and instead of Vet Day we get the whole of Thanksgiving week off.)
