I'm loving their 1 in 500 chance of winning it all.

My mind drifts back to a time almost 20 years ago, I remember the Bus running over Urlacher on the way. We had to win out to make the playoffs, and the rest is history...

After the 2005 NFL season, the Steelers were the No. 6 seed in the AFC Playoffs, where the top 5 seeds were, in order: Indianapolis, Denver, Cincinnati, New England, and Jacksonville. With 14-2 Indianapolis and 13-3 Denver getting first-round byes, the Wild Card Round had the Steelers over Cincinnati and New England over Jacksonville. In the Divisional Round, the Patriots lost at Denver, and the Steelers won in Indianapolis. In the AFC Championship Game, the Steelers won in Denver. Then in Super Bowl XL, the Steelers defeated NFC No. 1 seed Seattle, 21-10, for the franchise's fifth Lombardi Trophy.

#7 seeds are 0-6 and the margin of defeat is 12.2 points. The Steelers recent play gives me hope of changing those stats, but I would not be surprised if the Steelers lose by their recent playoff margins. They will not give up 45, but it could still be a double digit loss. Having said that, Mason Rudolph's play has changed the culture of the team and they could surprise Buffalo.

NFL.com ranked the 14 playoff teams and of course they had the Steelers ranked #14. They had the Buccaneers and even the Packers who we already have beaten ahead of Pittsburgh.

I give us a better than 5% chance.

It could snow and be too windy for the Bills passing offense Sunday. I believe Steelers can run against them regardless of weather. They can keep it close and make a play like they did the first 6-7 games and upset the Bills.

After that we get the Ravens. I’d say the Steelers are the AFC team best equipped to beat them. Twice this year, 7 out of the last 8, they contain Lamar Jackson better than anyone, plus the ravens may be playing and coaching tight based on their one and done in 2019 last time they were the one seed.

If Steelers pull that off maybe the Browns handle their side of the bracket and we end up in Cleveland. Last time we were there I witnessed the worst Steelers offensive performance I’ve ever seen… and we only lost by 3, 13-10. Sure Flacco has been playing ok, but Steelers have never had too much trouble dealing with Flacco in the playoffs.

After that suppose the Rams shock the world in the NFC. They’ve been playing really well late in the season and just beat the mighty 49ers with Carson Wentz. We’ve already beaten them so maybe we are confident heading into the game, TJ Watt comes back healthy, and boom, shades of 1979!

Crazy amount of “ifs” but I could see it happening that way.

3 weeks ago everyone thought we had 0% chance, so I’ll take it. Never forget when we played The Bengals in the first round anything can happen in a game (Carson injury = game changer).
