Najee has been at least as good as Derrick Henry

Watched the Titans game and came to that conclusion. Any thoughts?

    Past three games?! Agree.

Totality of the season?! Hard disagree. Derrick Henry is removed from his 2020 Campaign but he still is a Top 5 back in all of football. Najee is Top 15 at best overall currently.

Henry, despite his size, has always has that 2nd level burst that Naj just doesn't. I feel that's what sets him apart from the rest.

    Yep.

For me, he is as close to Eric Dickerson as one is going to get. Definitely not Eric's speed but Henry has far more power and strength with just enough speed to get by.

    Keeping drafting those Alabama RBs.

There’s a high school commit that squats 700lbs!

Today's game by Henry was better than any game Harris has ever had. Harris might be the same style runner, but definitely not as good yet.

Henry is a beast. Had 1 year of injury and has been there every time other than that. Consistently high performance. One of my favorite RBs of all time. Would have made a great Steeler!

Najee reminds me a lot of Henry in the style and physicality of play. A lot of the season, he has lacked vision in seeing the holes.....but there has been a lot of improvement on that over the last few games. Now, if we can just ban E-W running from him. He is not fast enough to outrun anyone to the sideline. Turn downhill and plow thru them!

Once again you are wrong don’t you ever get embarrassed

    Henry had 153 yards today

Harris had 188 rushing and 18 receiving vs Cleveland 1/3/2022

So once again you are wrong

But I’d rather have had Henry the last years and I’m right

That you're wrong... Najee the past couple games has been as good as he's been in his career, but even Najee's best season could only come "close" to equaling Henry's season where he turned 30 years old (this season). This version of Henry is slightly better than Najee, but similar. The Derrick Henry of 2 seasons ago+? Not even close.

I KINDA see a similar style, but Henry is just a "juiced up" version of Harris. Henry was a good bit more explosive from 0 to 60 and had a top end speed that Najee will never have... which is what made him "unique". Not too many guys Henry's size could plow for 3-4 yards any time you needed it AND be able to take a handoff the distance from any point on the field (has a 99 yard TD run). When Harris goes east and west, he is pretty much done. He doesn't have the speed or explosion to do much towards the sidelines... When Henry cut it outside, he generally just outran the safety or corner and took it upfield to either get pushed out for a 15 yard gain, or get stiff-armed on their way to a SportsCenter appearence. It is the main reason why Harris is just a guy and Henry was the best RB in football for a good stretch of time.

We drafted Harris to be EXACTLY like Henry, he just isn't as freaky of an athlete as Henry was. Harris would be best off focusing on going between the tackles and continuing to put his foot in the dirt and just run hard upfield. It's how he will be most effective. If he keeps wanting to cut outside and juke and all the other stuff, he just needs to lose 15-20 lbs. That way he could be lighter and explosive enough to do that. He is a big man that runs smaller. He's been running bigger recently and its paying off big time.

They **** on the players, they **** on the coaches, they **** on the owners, they **** on the management. The number of people on here who want the Steelers to lose so that Tomlin gets fired is huge. And secretly (and some not-so-secretly) are pretty pissed right now about blowing their draft slot.(wait, I can say pissed?)

    Volume.

Not exactly that impressive to be slightly outgaining dudes that you got hundreds (plural) of more carries than in some cases during that stretch

    Harris - 3,269 yards - 3.9 YPC - 834 rushes
    Jacobs - 3,087 yards - 4.2 YPC - 732 rushes
    Chubb - 3,557 yards - 5.2 YPC - 680 rushes
    McCaffrey - 2,920 yards - 4.7 YPC - 623 rushes
    Henry - 2,293 yards - 4.6 YPC - 501 rushes

I get why people like Harris (and why he is getting more love after playing his best stretch of football in his career the past 3 games), but to compare him to any of the other 4 guys is a bit insulting. Chubb, McCaffrey, and Henry are STUDS. Bona Fide top 3 backs in the league year in and year out throughout their prime. Harris has never cracked being a top 10 back in the league. He has a lot of yards because he has had a TON of carries. He has the lowest YPC of the bunch (by a fairly considerable amount to everyone but Jacobs) and is tied for the fewest TD's of the bunch (with Henry at 22 TD's, despite having 333 more carries). He just isn't that close to being in these guy's league.

Harris has been running behind a dogs**t line in to stacked boxes his entire time in the league and his numbers are very good considering.

I agree he doesn’t have the burst and elite speed of some of the others. Henry and Mccaffery are unbelievable, and they are players that the opposing D has to game plan for.

Najee isn’t at that level but we have seen in recent games that if he gets a relatively favourable situation he can be a monster that wears down defences.

Now let's make a real comparison. 1st 3 years vs the 1st 3 years of both RBs. Najee destroys Him...Oh wait doesn't fit what people want to say???
