I agree in a way. Just a perfect time for all to go their separate ways.

"everyone in Pittsburgh will learn very soon that you should've cherished this man, you should've respected this man, because it ain't going to get better."

Ah, no Ryan...it's more like "Everyone in his new city and everyone else in the NFL will learn very soon what people in Pittsburgh have known for the last 10 years."

3 playoff wins in the last 13 years is not something to cherish. Sorry.

Mike Tomlin Geroge Seifert his two Super Bowl appearances and after that was a D coach. Proof is in the damn results. He had massive talent too in all levels of the game in all the important skilled positions. The hell do you want us to cherish?!

He is not a good coach, he was average at best. Sorry, it's facts. The results prove the facts.

I do not think RC said Tomlin should go, he was saying people in Pittsburgh are saying he should go

He's saying that he should go to spite the fans. That we don't know what we've got and we'll soon find out. This is the typical way that the media thinks about Tomlin because he's a deity to them.

Shannon Sharpe said it best, the common denominator Tomlin is responsible for the problems with Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, Donte Johnson, George Pickens. His messaging is old and no one listens to him anymore.

I disagree with Clark. I think it’s time for the Steelers to move on from Tomlin.

I don't get the fear people have of moving on, it happened with Noll, came down to Cowher or Mean Joe, we did ok. Came down between MT and whoever, went to 2 SB's and won one. Is there a chance they hire a guy who sucks, yes, but at least you KNOW he sucks, instead of living in a past legacy the continues to bring you mediocre records.

Much of that may be true, but it is silly to say he is responsible for Antonio Brown's mental health issues. If anything, he is to be commended for getting such great production from Brown for all those years before the guy imploded.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. It is time for Tomlin and the Steelers to move on, but this idea that he wasn't and isn't a good coach is nuts.

I personally enjoy Ryan Clark and think he was spot on. Tomlin is a great coach, but it’s “time”. We may regret this in a few years, but it’s worth it to “break the mold” and “modernize”. Tomlin can’t take us back over the hump, so if we need a few losing seasons to get there, so be it.

Ryan Clark couldn't find his ass with either hand when it comes to major decisions like this.

I'd sit Tomlin down in the next week or so and see what his plan is with the OC going forward. If you don't like what you hear then show him the door. He's going to need to do a lot better this offseason. But your chances of finding a guy who's better than him in the random OC to HC hire pipeline isn't a given.

Did I get that right? On one hand it's time for Tomlin to go but on the other hand we are going to wish he didn't?

    I

I thinks Shannon Sharpe point was that with all the deva receivers Tomlin is lacking in the discipline of all these guys. He is not wrong about that.
