If Tomlin sucks, then why say he would get us draft picks?

I've never thought to give my jeep in return from my neighbors garbage out of his trash can.

Because outside of Allegheny County there is this narrative that he’s a first ballot hall of famer and a great coach because of the no losing seasons. Rich Eisen went on this rant about Steelers fans like a week ago about how great he was. The veil is slowly coming off; however, if some of that remains, like Steelersfan43 said, it only takes 1 team.

 

I'm upset with tomlin. But i tonk he's better than 20+ coaches. And i know how hard it is to find a coach that is better. I don't live in a pipe dream thinking shanahans grow on trees.

 

there are LOTS of dumb people out there and DUMB owners that would bring him in

LET HIM GO and get what we can, if that is what Rooney and Tomlin can negotiate.

Who's saying he is great? I see people saying it like I do that there is a good 5 that are better than him, but a better coach than Tomlin isn't growing on trees. Last decade there's been about 5 good hires. While there's been a heavy amount of more that are trash. And that trash you're stuck with back to back to back losing seasons.

Edit: some of those great hired are pure luck.

 

TOMLIN had 1 decent season as a coordinator before he was hired as Hc... .. give someone else a chance to get some of that equity. Tomlin was advertising on his shirt tonight...lol

 

I am still liking the Carolina connection for Tomlin getting traded to another team.

Although there are a lot of rumors out there about him going to DC. New Owners love to overspend on former Head Coaches. (Maybe the same Deal the Saints received this year from the Broncos)

He will likely be a first ballot hall of famer though. I'm curious tosee what he can do with a competent OC (one he had not picked) and another competent QB.

I would love to get what the Saints received for Tomlin. That kind of trade could turn the fortunes of the Steelers. Hire an offensive minded Head Coach, get a new QB in the draft thanks to that acquired capital.

We will be lucky get a used jock strap for Tomlin. Everyone knows what he brings to a team....pretty much nothing but a culture of stupidity.

 

I'm not sure what people mean when they say he has run the team into the ground? If that's the case do they also agree that Noll and Cowher ran the team into the ground when they sucked?

 

Picks? I guess it could happen, and I guess it has, but why would Tomlin even consider going to a team without a top draft pick? Yes Art could try and trade (ho won't), but MT only has one year left on his deal, if it's a horrible owner all he has to do is say no thanks, not show up and make Art fire him.
