We’re staying about a 15 minute walk from the stadium. Any dinner suggestions?

A 5th of vodka, 2 Tylenol, 30 mg Valium, anti-nausea medication, and a classic Pittsburgh cheese burger.

Our favorite place, Grill 36 which was owned by Jerome Bettis, is unfortunately no longer in business.

But the last time we were there, we ate at Burgatory, which is within walking distance of the stadium. Had a really good burger there. I believe it was this one:

PIGGY BUTTER & JELLY: Cajun Dusted Ground Beef & Ground Bacon Burger with White American Cheese, Candied Bacon, Bread & Butter Pickles, Peanut Butter & Habanero Jelly.

I remember the fries being really good, too.

Elaine's was awesome but not sure it's still there. It was 20 years ago. Hell, I might have wrong name too.

My tailgate tonight is going to consist of splitting a six pack with one of my old cronies while we sit on a park bench by the stadium

I’m thinking we are going to look like a couple of homeless guys all bundled up

I don't drink much anymore, but tipping an iron city or Rolling Rock before the game, shooting the breeze sounds just right.

I wanted to try Jerome’s place. Sad to hear it closed. I think the wife wants to go to the Monterey Pub

Iron City.... A black and white memory of around 1955.
The Old man was glued to his radio out in the garage, ice cold Iron City beer on the bench.
"That damn Keisling doesn't know what he's doing!' He'd proclaim in a gravely voice.

"Finks is back, and it's an interception" would come out of the radio
The old man once spiked his precious Iron City on the floor, leaving me in a state of shock.
Normally he was mild mannered and just griped a little at the radio as if Keisling would hear him.
This was the reason he was sent to the garage, my mother was having none of it - Beer and cigars.
some of the neighbor guys would show up and they would solve all the Steelers problems and they would be undefeated, if you listened to them.

I can't stomach Iron City anymore. I quit drinking it around 72.
Genesee Cream Ale and Rolling Rock became a staple for me for while.
The old man called them piss water.
