If this offense still doesn’t find its identity would you agree with benching Pickett early?

NO! That's not happening. You guys are something else. Bench Pickett for Mitch or Rudolph? lmao

If he continues to miss open receivers with his inaccuracy and/or inability to read the defenses/the field, yes. I think he should be benched.

In my opinion it’s his play that’s hurting the morale of the team. Canada was scapegoated

It would have to be a total meltdown for him to be benched. Something like 2 or 3 picks in the first half.

Early in Sunday's game or within the next two, three games? Sunday, no. If they still struggle but win, you stay the course. If they lose two out of the next three and he stinks the joint out, then yes. Especially if a WC spot is still in the mix.

You ride with him. No changes till next year, potentially. I’m not optimistic about his development at this point ( hopefully he proves me wrong). Nothing is gained by benching him for Mitch or Rudolph…different versions of the same caliber of player.

My opinion doesn't matter much because Tomlin has never shown any inclination to give a guy the hook. Heck as much as Chuks losing his starter job was earth shattering I dont see it happening again.

I don't care if it's the NFL....If poor play continues...you bench them...I mean what message does it send that if you keep playing poorly, we are still going to use you. Gotta have consequences for poor play or it's gonna be the same outcome. Don't care if the next man up is not as good.

If you wanna take back control of a team, you make statements.

Takes time to implement a whoe new offense......
Look for us to continue to lean on the run game while continuing to add a wrinkle or 2 in the passing game every week

    Not in the least

We need the last 7 games to aim him in the right direction or know we need to go in a different direction next year

He should start ever remaking quarter

Your not looking at it the right way. KFP needs to watch from sidelines with a coach to slow the game down for him. Noone is saying the other 2 bums are better. KFP is struggling mightily, needs to step back to get a better understanding of zone defenses and different defensive sets in general. It is much more difficult to learn while you are playing.

I think Tomlin has a better chance of spontaneous combustion, than KP getting pulled. Not with a new coordinator and everything.

Normally I would agree, but when all you have is Mitch and Mason, you really have no viable options other than to stick with Pickett. They should definitely draft a QB in the middle rounds though. I hope they don't sign another teams reject QB, because we've already seen how that's worked out in the past

Interesting thought. I'd have said a solid maybe if Canada was still the guy but with him gone I'd say no. Hell, the team as a whole seems to have a confidence problem. Bench Pickett and heads will be hanging low on the sideline.

Laugh all you want, but if Kenny is able to execute basic throws the offense looks a lot better. A average QB would have this team 7-3 and maybe 8-2.
Yep. Plenty of guys open all year. Nobody to get them the ball.

    If he plays like this....yes

...but seriously, no. I don't care how bad he plays dont bench him. They don't get any better with the guys behind him. Besides, I need the organization to be convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt in these next 7 games he's not it going into next season. I believe a QB still needs to be drafted regardless of what he does, but hopefully he does a 180 so that they don't have to consider drafting another QB early instead of late.

Nobody is going to succeed behind center here until they fix the Oline. I mean guys are making free runs at the QB on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Didn't Kurt Warner say as much after last game?

He's been under extreme pressure from day one with **** sh*t O-line. They can't pass-defend. So many of you are going to have to crabwalk when they start protecting him and get some semblance of a dam tight end that can stay healthy.

I guess you forgot about when he benched Trubisky at halftime of the Jets game last year .

Apparently like all things Trubisky I did. What were the circumstances around that again?

I think the team should give him the rest of the season, or at least another 3-4 weeks, w/o Canada to see if he can improve with better play calling. It’s not like we have someone else to turn to who is likely to invigorate the offense.

Went and looked at the highlights from that game. Seems like a **** to the chest just before halftime might have had as much to do with the switch as much as Mitch sucking. So you never know maybe Tomlin will pull him. Doubt it but strange things are afoot at the Circle K.
