It’s Wednesday so a lot of the DNP are not significant

    Cam for example

Agreed. Friday will be far more telling. In the meantime, hope to have Minkah back there soon!

We certainly need Minkah back but I am shocked on the year he has 0 INTs 0 Forced or Recovered Fumbles and 0 sacks (he probably never has a lot of sacks as a FS) such an empty stat line.

His stat line won’t show TDs prevented because the QB avoids throwing near him. I am sure that the deep TD pass by Jordan Love doesn’t happen with Minkah covering the deep area.

No I agree you need him in there because he can alter a game in more way than stats but you have to agree it’s surprising to see all those 0s from a pro bowl type player?

I wonder how much of that is because he was playing all over the defense. In my view he’s always been more impactful when everything is in front of him. If we have him turning his back to the QB to cover a TE or slot receiver in man coverage, we take away the benefit of his vision and play making ability.

Going to have to put flags in their pockets sooner then I thought. Injuries sure change things in the NFL. This could have been one hell of a year for the Cleveland Browns. With their D and Watson and Chubb for all 17, they could have won our division.

Sometimes going all in for one year pays off- Tampa Bay and the Rams did it. Sometimes it shoots you in the foot- see Cleveland. Watson's cap hit goes from $19 million this year to $64 million the next three years. Some tough decisions going to have to be made.

We will see Friday but I predict all the DNPs except Minkah will play and perhaps Adams

Holy crap. And I thought the Steelers banged up. The Browns need an entire hospital wing.

Early in the season for some reason Austin had Minkah playing in the box, he was their leading tackler I think.

Fitz and Neal didn’t practice again today, so it looks like Trenton Thompson will start. Lots of injuries down the middle of our D.

Uncalled for, I saw him raise and waive his hand for a fair catch before impact

Ugh. I was hoping at least Neal would play. There are many times he is a liability, but a veteran run-stuffing safety is exactly what they needed for Sunday.

Ouch. The Steelers put Neal on IR, so he is gone for a while. Things are getting dire on defense.
